I had to write this review because this diner has quickly become my favorite! My partner and I dined here late one evening, and the food was delicious with a pleasant atmosphere. What stood out most was our waitress—she was truly outstanding! You could tell she loved her job and was dedicated to excellent service.
She regularly checked on us and made sure all my requests for substitutions were welcomed and accommodated. I really wish I had caught her name because she made our experience so special. This was an older waitress with dark hair. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place!
This is our favorite local diner. All the staff knows us. They are so friendly. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner here. Never disappointed. For my daughter's birthday, we came to eat here because she knows she is loved and can get her favorite meal. You come here enough, the waitresses will recognize you and give you a big smile.
It was my 2nd time visiting this location and Veronica was absolutely amazing! Initially, I second guessed my choice oppose to another in the area but once I sat down I was blown away. Veronica is hands down the BEST waitress that I’ve had in years. I didn’t feel that well on my visit with my husband but Veronica’s smile and hospitality made everything ten times better. The soup and tea were really good as well. Thanks Vee!
So, we absolutely LOVE everything we've ever eaten at the Acropolis - after discovering it 6.5 yrs ago when we moved to CT. The management (Greek) is soooo careful and attentive to getting the freshest ingredients and supplies, from the delicious local coffee (Omar) (brewed in ALWAYS clean tasting pots), to NYC quality rye bread, to amazing burgers!! Generous portions and friendly, experienced servers at every time of day make eating a relaxing pleasure.
You must put the Acropolis on the top of your destination restaurants and ENJOY!!! See you there!
Sandwich was dry and not very tasty; the fries were well above average, however.
The patron i was dining with gave the waitperson a hard time about a discrepancy between what was on the menu and what she was served and billed for. The waitperson handled it OK, but was really the source of the problem. Maybe was just having a bad day?
As far as "atmoaphere" goes, it's a typical diner, nothing special.
Found a weird mushed up piece of broccoli in my friend's turkey sandwich, other friend got a cheese burger, they forgot the cheese and put lettuce and tomatoes on everything when we watched the waitress write it correctly.
They both ordered curly fries, one of them had a Frozen uncooked straight fry in it, how does that even happen, I get the fries get mixed but how did one end up not even cooked.
And it was fine I guess but they microwave their bacon
The burger and fries were great. The service was great too. The only thing I'd give a 3 is the Calamari for the taste. Everything else was great!
There was a seat readily available when I walked in. Waitress was kind and attentive and took great care of me. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced.
