Best WLM Reviews

We waited about 20 minutes to enter and sat at the bar. Anticipation was in the air for us and many other customers as we conversed with people from everywhere who all had a story about why this place was so good. We had oysters grilled and raw with some gator and drinks. The oysters are jumbo and delicious. We had a great time in a great, upbeat atmosphere with beautiful people. A reminder that life is good. Worthy of many returns.
The oysters were really good, they were huge! And they shuck them to order. We got the sampler plate and the seafood gumbo and sausage was probably the best thing on it. The drinks were good, didn't taste the liquor best sure as heck felt it. For dessert we got pecan cobbler, it's like eating just the inside of pecan pie with ice cream. It was really good too, not overly sweet. Definitely recommend it if you're nearby.
Love the atmosphere and the service was great. I really enjoyed the chargrilled oysters ????. The acme pops wasn’t bad. I think it would have been better if was in a sourdough bread bowl. The meet pies were cute and delicious with the dipping sauce. The rice and beans with fried fish also tasted great. Either way I enjoyed my first time and would highly recommend it. Not to mention they have great taste in music.
Fun place to visit. I'm gluten free, and was able to eat the red beans and rice (most are not gf). Had no issues. Fast-paced restaurant with a good vibe. People I was with got the oysters and they smelled amazing. They loved them. Would go back if I was with gluten eating people so they could experience it.
The atmosphere is incredible. This place really takes you back to a different time as full of people and it’s still like some collective work all harmonize together. The oysters were amazing. I had the grill ones cheese with cheese and I also had the New Orleans medley. It was so good. The service was amazing. They’re popping ice all day long, and paired with the music it was everything.
We had to stand outside for a very lengthy time for a table for 13, I get it was a large group, however, we still ended up not sitting with our whole group and getting split up. The host didn't know what she was doing. I had the Boom Boom Shrimp and they were awesome along with a piece of fish. My family ordered the charbroiled oysters, crab cake, and a platter of shrimp, fish, hush puppies, fries.
This place is the ultimate spot for comfort food! From shrimp etouffee to roast beef po'boys to chargrilled oysters, you'll find the best of New Orleans cuisine here. The ambiance is lively, with an authentic American vintage vibe throughout. The food was exceptional—tasty, comforting, and absolutely delicious! I can't wait to come back for more. I came back 4 days later ???? and tried the boom boom shrimps and an ACME special PO Boy (roast beef, ham, and cheese...) it was to die for, even better than last time's roast beef!
Walking into the restaurant, it didn't feel particularly clean, and there was a noticeable odor that wasn’t very inviting. For a seafood place, the smell was quite strong, but after a while, you get used to it.
I visited several other oyster bars, and this one offered some of the freshest and tastiest oysters in the French Quarter. The staff here was attentive and friendly, making the experience even more enjoyable.
