Best WLM Reviews

This is one of the most highly recommended restaurants in New Orleans, and I understand why. The ambiance here is definitely special. There's a line even before it opens. The oysters here are $29.99 per dozen. Although the price is a bit higher, they do give out fuller ones. We ordered raw ones, but it seems like the people around us liked to order the grilled ones. The fried seafood platters were pretty nice, except for the soft-shell crab. It wasn't as soft as it should have been and didn't taste as fresh for some reason.
Acme offers a nice option to the larger restaurants. There may be a line to get in, but it moves quickly.
Staff is friendly and efficient and the food is great. Portions are generous enough we had to pack some to take home. The New Orleans medley was very good. Boom boom shrimp were tasty. The bread pudding was outstanding.
Fantastic, easy going location. Line might take a minute but worth the short wait. I was in line for maybe 20-25 minutes on a Saturday night around 7.30pm. Sat at the counter and whilst service is definitely a little more casual (the team are opening oysters at the same time as making sure you get what you need), the food is fantastic. Hope I get the opportunity to come back around and try more some time.
Here's a great restaurant with an excellent price point and the best seafood gumbo I've had in the French Quarter thus far. The food is really good. The chef is grilling fresh oysters on an open grill right in the middle of the dining room (behind glass, of course). The atmosphere is lively and casual. We had both the raw and chargrilled oysters, and they were delicious. The raw oysters were so fresh you could taste the ocean. The seafood gumbo was very good - perfect roux! We also had the fried fish and fried oysters platter with red beans and rice and hush puppies. Everything was really tasty and worth every dollar. The service was excellent! This place is a must visit when in NOLA. There's a line outside, and you will understand why, once you've been! Five stars all-round. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Came for the oysters and tried all their specialties. I’d say they are okay. Keep your expectations down. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Cleanliness can be improved.
Charbroiled oysters are better than their raw oysters.
New Orleans medley has gumbo, jambalaya, red beans and rice, a must try but again, low expectations.
Hush puppies were sweet and yummy.
I really liked this place. Totally understandable why there's a line-up.
The oysters and the fried shrimp were really good and fresh. Probably a smart bet to visit this place to get your fried seafood and oyster fix.
Unfortunately, when we went the fried crawfish was not in season. I would love to come back and try this item.
Every time I’m in New Orleans, I make it a point to stop by Acme Oyster House—it’s been five times now, and it never disappoints! My friend and I went this time, and as always, the atmosphere was casual and friendly, with great service from the staff.
We had both the raw and grilled oysters, and they were incredible. The raw oysters were big, juicy, and fresh, just like I remember. The grilled oysters, with their smoky, buttery flavor, were out of this world!
They shorted my friend one oyster by accident and responded super fast by bringing her a huge replacement.
The prices are great, and for the quality, it’s always a good deal. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifth, Acme is the perfect spot for amazing oysters. Can’t wait for my next trip!
The food was good, especially raw oysters and chargrilled oysters. The atmosphere was lively as expected. The waits staff was not good at all. We didn’t even get water before our check. But food was coming in at very fast pace so the kitchen staffs are proactive.
