I called this Acme at 6:55pm and spoke to a woman in Customer Service and asked her if you guys had Chateau Ste Michelle Sweet Riesling Wine, she acted like she wrote the name down said she would go “look” for it. Came back to the phone 1 minute later and said “we don’t have it sorry”. What she didn’t know was that i was already on my way to the store and could tell she was lying! Walked right in and found it. There were plenty bottles. I looked over at the customer service station and she was busy talking to the guy with the red Acme shirt. Do better because you don’t know what kind of day i had at work. I needed my wine!
If you're gonna make it so people can't use self check out if they have more than fifteen items then you need to hire more cashiers. Today I had maybe thirty items in my cart, went to self checkout anyway because I didn't see any open registers. There were several self checkouts open but the employee told me to get I couldn't check out there because it's the "express lane". When I told her there was nowhere else to check out, she said yes there is and pointed to the opposite end of the store where the beer and wine register was open (which I was told by another employee months ago that I couldn't check out there unless I was purchasing alcohol).
I ended up getting stuck in line for at least twenty minutes behind a woman who had four carts full of stuff and took forever transferring money on her phone to be able to pay for everything. I could have rung myself up at the self checkout fifty times over by the time I was done. I'm a very patient person but today I was ready to leave my cart in line and go somewhere else, because it honestly felt like I was being punished for wanting to give acme more money.
The only reason I didn't leave my cart full of stuff was because I didn't want the cashier who was running the register to have to put everything back because he was very nice.
I just don't understand why the second lane of self check outs can't be opened for more than fifteen items. They've been roped off for months and have just been wasting space.
This Acme has the worst produce ever. I spent a lot of money in this store never can get nice produce every week going back hoping to find nice vegetables, shallots, etc..
I felt discriminated against today right in front of my two kids. I used the self-checkout to get things I needed for dinner. I had the exact amount in cash. I put some of it in, and my daughter insisted on putting in the last $20 bill. Suddenly, the machine said nothing was paid, even though we had inserted all the bills and change. I asked for customer service. One employee came and said to wait. A second employee came and rudely said, "You didn't put the money in." Then the assistant supervisor, Ariel William, came and told me there wasn't anything she could do. My daughter saw another employee opening the machine for another customer who was having a similar issue(white woman) However, as a brown woman, I received no help because they assumed I was lying. And wanted to me to leave the food and come tomorrow for “loss prevention “ she mentioned . Wow I was very shocked/ sad. I have never experienced such a thing . I cried right in front my kids, I felt ashamed , angry at how they treated me . Finally , the employee who was opening the other lady’s machine , came and opened and find out that the money was foled since my daughter was helping . And gave me the money back , but that was even after calling the cops and going through so much when they could have just opened while I was there waiting to get helped. I am never coming back to this place .
Went to this acme again had the old lady at the cashier still there. I thought oh well all the other lines are full why not give a go and head where that old lady was standing. Suspiciously she was empty. I ran into her twice and every time she always seem to be hard to deal when nothing suppose to happen. We'll make it short I had one alcoholic beverage and I had my ID she took a long time to look at my ID. I'm pretty sure she memorized my address by the time she was done with it. No wonder no body was at her line. Everyone avoided her. Telling every customer out there if your having a miserable day don't go to the old lady she makes you uncomfortable.
Great acme...have to watch prices but they still have that old ACME feel that I am comfortable with...awesome bakery staff... incredible fried chicken... really good pharmacy too.
Iam sad to say I won’t be shopping at Acme. I been a frequent customer for years but not anymore I have been buying Signature select ice cream for awhile but when I went to open my ice cream today I found a winged dead bug inside . I will say this I know this isn’t the store fault because it was factory sealed and when I opened it the bug was there. But acme needs to follow up with the factories they vendor with .
The staff, most of whom have been here for a long time, have always been extremely professional, kind and helpful. Acme has great sales. It's worth downloading their app to get the digital coupons, which really are where the big savings are. Also, it's worth mentioning, for a food market bakery, their products are wonderful, especially their cakes. The Tiramisu is amazing.
