Best WLM Reviews

We ordered our food to go. The servers were nice.
We went for the tenderloins.
They were really good. Fresh, and crispy. Not too thick or thin tenderloins.
I would give it an 8.5 for the tenderloin.
The rest of the food was as expected. Didn't get the acme sauce that was supposed to come with the onion rings so can't comment on that.
But overall it was good. We'll be back again.
TLDR: Delicious food in a vintage, local place. Great for catching up with friends
FOOD
The duck ragoon appetizer or something I didn't know I needed until then. It comes piping hot, and totally worth burning your mouth for --please be careful! The inside is molten goodness with small bits of duck. It comes with a sweet chili dipping sauce and the outside has a thick crunch.
???? For pizza, we ordered two 10-in regular crust pizzas to share. One was the Porky Pig and the other was the Bahn Mi. Porky Pig was our favorite of the two. The Bahn Mi did actually taste like the Vietnamese sandwich, but beware, there are little bits of jalapeno on it so there's a kick. The only issue was that the toppings on the pizzas had a hard time staying them as we had to tear the slices apart.
The next day though, cold leftovet pizza out of the fridge though was superb.????????
I also got a cup of soup: Irish Stew. I felt like it might have been under seasoned.
For starters we got the Mexican corn dip. It was ok but the chips that came with it was on point! For dinner I got the brisket, it was mediocre, the jalapeño cornbread was bomb and the coleslaw was money! My better half got the pulled pork sandwich which was very good and the mac and cheese was great! Overall it was very good. I'll definitely be going back to try the pizza and bloody mary.
Open on Mondays! This is the place to be. Great service and we really enjoyed talking to our waitress. The tenderloins were one of the biggest and best we’ve had around the Midwest. All the sides were excellent. The prices were reasonable. The restaurant and restrooms were clean. We highly recommend this sweet neighborhood bar.
The restaurant exudes a pleasant holiday vibe. The pizza and BBQ are both enjoyable, with the wings boasting a distinct hickory wood flavor. Overall, the food is satisfying with no complaints. However, the garlic-heavy ranch wasn't to my liking. Additionally, while the taco meat is good, the hard tortilla could be improved, perhaps by using corn flour tortillas.
First time visiting Acme and wasn't too bad. My wife and kids the mac and cheese ( pulled pork on 2 and brisket on another) was amazing and filled them up fast. I had the Breaded tenderloin and was very tasty and everything a Hoosier tenderloin should be Crispy, tasty and fresh. Kitchen forgot my tomatoes pickle and mayo but brought out . Has a nice diner feel and was very busy so wait was a little long
Terrible service that doesn’t outweigh the goodness of the food. I don’t know if this was a one off but we had absolutely horrible service. The food was solid but not enough to overlook being ignored and walked past for 15 minutes before someone who wasn’t our server offered us drinks. There were 3 other tables when we came in at 5:20, 2 who were in middle of their meals and another who had already put in their order. Another 20 minutes and we finally see our server who takes our order with the only apology offered being that she thought someone else was going to take care of us while she was trying to figure something out on her computer. Our Savor deal did seem like a good deal with 2 small app samples, a large crab Rangoon pizza, 2 sides and 2 slices of cheesecake for $50 which left us with plenty of leftovers. They first tried bringing out the wrong app which was their sweet porky bowl (sweet potato fries loaded with pork) which we let them know so they took that and then put in a new order for our correct apps. The waitress made a point to bring over her notepad and make me read to her what we ordered, which was indeed not a sweet porky bowl (it was duck rangoons and buffalo wings so nothing close to that either). By the time we got our pizza with no sides, my extremely patient toddler was nearing the end of his patience (much more than I had). I asked for the sides and cheesecake to go at this point so we’d have any semblance of part of our evening not being spent here. Fun surprise when I got home that instead of the plain sweet potato fries I ordered for one of our sides, we instead got the cold porky bowl that we didn’t want nor ordered. Also despite our server writing “savor” on the top of our order, we were charged full price for our pizza, $9 for each slice of cheesecake and a $1 for the strawberry on one - which what?? Their own menu on the table had the single cheesecake slices at $5 and the savor menu noted the NY cheesecake would have a free fruit flavor included. They did not charge us for our apps which when we paid we figured they comped us for what happened but honestly we ended at about the same price because of it not being run up as the deal and we were extremely frustrated the whole time. Again, I’m hoping it’s not always like this but it was not busy and really there was no reason for so many things all piled on each other. We look past hiccups because stuff happens, but this was just too much for us.
I heard it was a local favorite, so I had to try it out myself. Upon walking in, I had the option of dining in w/ option of bar dining or take out, I chose bar dining and self seating. I wasn't offered a menu as you would with seated dining, but Stefanie quickly greeted me and offered up a menu. She also took my drink order. I ordered the half gut buster, which was plenty of food for one or even to share, and a side of jalapeño cornbread. Let's start there, I wasn't a fan of the cornbread. It wasn't that wonderful, fluffy textured cornbread we all know. This was dense and crumbly, as if too much baking powder or baking soda was used, lacked the flavor of cornbread or that beautiful golden yellow color. Next, the gut buster! You had a choice of two-three sauces, I chose house, blueberry cherry and bourbon hot. The plate came with ribs, wings, pulled pork, crack chicken, mac/chz and coleslaw. Sauces: house and bourbon were good, but the blueberry OUTSTANDING, its a must try!! Unfortunately, you could tell the pulled pork and crack chicken definitely sat a bit before it was delivered to the table as it had that "heat lamp dried layer" on it. The wings could've had maybe 10 mins less smoke time, but overall good, the ribs were also top notch, great bark and fall off the bone. The mac/chz could've been a little more saucier but the flavor was there and finally the coleslaw was ok. I will for sure give this place another go as the atmosphere was nice, the shaved head food runner guy (didn't get his name) was personable, told me about the local honey sample they're now using and Stefanie, as busy as she was, never missed a beat even for a single diner like myself! For those reasons, I gave a 4 out of 5 for my dining experience!
