Tasty Food
Went up to deep creek for a vacation, on the way back went here to have food. The food was freshly made and tasty. We liked the catch of the day sandwich, very good and huge serving of fish.
Service was good, our order took some time to be ready. We spent the time checking out the various artifacts and photographs.
Interesting to see they have the first dollar they recieved farmed and so is a menu from 1965.
Nice place. Worth a visit for sure.
Although Brenda, our server, was wonderful, her friendliness couldn't save the food during our recent dining trip to Ace's Run.
The veggie burger was almost inedible. It was rubbery and cold, un-appetizing. French fries are an upcharge, which feels wrong especially given the fact we both ordered burgers. Just throw the fries in, don't charge customers more for a typical 'burger and fries' meal. The Marsh Mountain burger, $28 (with fries), was massive but filled with onion straws to give the appearance of a substantial burger. The fried pickles were a nice touch though and the burger was cooked just right, but $18-$19 would have been a more appropriate price.
Additionally, the restaurant was freezing. We had a vent under our booth and by the end of the meal, despite moving around to stay warm, my legs were uncomfortable.
Ace's Run has a nice atmosphere (but very, very cold near vents) right on the lake, with sweeping views. Probably a very popular spot in warmer months. For vegetarians, there aren't many options and I do not recommend the veggie burger, unless they change brands to a different selection.
Ace's Run @ Deep Creek Md is one of our family's favorite restaurants to have our last night dinner when we are on vacation. We have been there the last 4 years and have never had a bad experience with service or food. I Highly Recommend if you are in the Deep Creek area.
This was the second time here. Both times, the food, service, and atmosphere were awesome! We had our dinner on the deck. The view of the lake was beautiful! I highly recommend this restaurant! We got the salmon, "catch this" fish sandwich, and the shrimp appetizer. The way the food was plated was amazing!
Went up to deep creek lake for a week vacation with a group of 8. We all went out separately one night and it was just me and my girlfriend. We were very happy to choose Aces run. The staff were extremely friendly even thought it was was busy. We were never rushed by our great server Hannah who honestly was one of the nicest server I've ever had. She was very helpful with the menu, patient, friendly, and didn't have a script. Our view on the balcony was amazing but obviously the food was the best part. We had to get the fried pickle appetizer and it was perfect, never had better fried pickles in my life. Our dinner was amazing but what took the words out of my mouth were the desserts. It'd be alot to say to please look at the menu and go to aces right now and request Hannah. Will definitely be back.
We needed a spot for 22 folks for a combined Bachelor/Bachelorette party, and Ace's was happy to accommodate.
Hannah took very good care of my table, we were grateful to have her!
The Deep Creek Lake Mountain burger or whatever it was called is a lot of food. It was everything I love on Burgers, in one burger. I was thrilled. Also the Nutella Bread pudding was next level.
Thank you Ace's!
Wow what a wonderful experience. Chloe greeted us with hospitality and made sure we didn’t want for anything. The food was made in a timely manner and tasted delicious. My favorite was the cream brûlée.
This place was recommended by some friends. My wife ordered the shepherds pie and really enjoyed it. I ended up getting the Burger because the other two Items on the menu were out of stock. Hence the 4 stars. The burger was cooked the way I requested and had no complaints with the meals. The server was very friendly and attentive. We would recommend this place to our friends and family
