We visited for the first time in four years. The food was very good, not streaming hot, but hot. This place had become quite busy after we waited for our orders. The atmosphere is great, decor; great. The service; excellent. The restroom was very clean as was baby changing station. No complaints! Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Whoever is on fryer is terrible. The cheese curds are always exploded and empty stuck together chunks of batter. How hard is it to shake the basket and take them out of the grease 30 seconds sooner to prevent this.. incompetence pure and simple. Everything made on grill station is delicious though.
Stopped in for lunch and was very happy with the food and service. I had the Full Tank breakfast and it was enough food to fill any tank. Delicious omelete and nice fresh breakfast potatoes. The waffle was fresh and fluffy. Good burger and fries and steaks. Fresh seafood bar. Service was friendly and dining area was clean. Prices were fair for the portions.
Been on the road for 2 weeks. Best breakfast I've had since leaving home. Ample parking. Everything arrived steamy hot and exactly as I ordered. Worth the detour to get a great meal.
Been here twice and think the food and service are great. My wife had the beef tips and rice and said she loved it. Unfortunately the price of my favorite dish, country fried steak, is pretty high at $17 for a small cut of thin meat with a few sides. Since I don’t eat grits and there’s no substitute I just get less food at the same price. It does taste great though since I’m told it’s hand battered in house and will always be my go to when we visit here but wish there was a more affordable way to have this meal more often.
It’s a nice, down home country diner. Good food, hot and fresh. I had the beef vegetable soup, a salad and the fried green tomatoes. Hubby had the breakfast biscuit plate with eggs, potatoes and gravy. We enjoyed everything. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. We will return. Thank you Ace’s for keeping it just a nice simple place to enjoy a good home cooked meal!!
I would give this place no stars if possible. They advertise a salad bar, but use it as a side....wait, they bring you a bowl the size you would put lemon wedges in to go make your salad.The ham on the bar is actually bologna cubed up. They offer a vegtable bar but its over 11 dollars for one trip. They boast that it's home cooking but brought my husband a frozen, grilled hamburger patty as a 1/2 pound hamburger steak. He didn't even eat it. Waitress was aware that he was dissatisfied and never offered to exchange or help but sure had it on our check. What a joke. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.
My new family feel place to eat. Everyone here is so friendly and when you walk in and you just feel like you're home. The food is excellent and it's all down home cooking. You want to try it. You won't be disappointed.
