This store is such a treat. We walked in to a bright, clean store and greeted immediately. The greeter asked if we needed help finding anything and after we mentioned needing a key made and started to walk away, I could hear him mention into the radio that there were customers headed to key area. Every employee we passed smiled and greeted us. This is a well-run store. They have such a wonderful collection of things, hardware and really interesting kitchen items, cute greeting cards. I usually spend an hour just poking along each aisle and always find something I absolutely need to have. And if that isn’t enough, there is an ice cream bar in the back with Blue Bell ice cream, a huge variety of fudge, free coffee and popcorn! I want to work at this place. So cool.
Absolutely love it here! Had to tell my husband to send help, I was in and may never come out again! But honestly, great staff, wonderful selection.
This is the largest Ace Hardware store I have ever been in. They have a great selection of RV parts and other stuff you would need.
They have popcorn, cashews, almonds pecans ice cream and fudge make sure to use your coupons????
The most amazing Ace Hardware that I've ever visited!! A lot of people that live in Rockport, Tx brag about their Ace Hardware, so I thought I'd stop in and see what it's all about. It's totally worth bragging about. They are well stocked with all hardware items and they also have a fantastic home accents section with unique items. Check out this massive wind chime.
This is an awesome Ace Hardware. They seem to have everything. A good chunk of the right side looks like a Bass Pro Shop. The rest of the store looks like a very clean Lowes or Home Depot.
We are from a mid sized town in Tennessee. We have 3 small Ace Hardware stores. All within about 8 miles of each other. They pretty much just sell hardware. So this Rockport store seems pretty awesome to me. And almost everything they carried, they had a huge selection. Bird feeding supplies, sandals, hunting and fishing, yard art. You name it, there was a big selection. Not just a few things in every department.
If we had an Ace like this in my town, I'd shop there all the time.
On 7 29,2024 at the ACE store in Rockport, Texas 78382 I returned 2 items which I had purchased using my credit card for a total of $4.31. At that point I was asked for my Driver's License. I questioned the cashier about this but was told the computer wanted it. I reluctantly gave it to her and then she scanned the magnetic strip which I did not please me since it contains my personal data. I thought she was going to verify that it was me by looking at my picture but such was not the case. If that wasn't bad enough she then wanted my phone number. Again I asked why and was given the same response - the computer wanted it. I asked to see the owner but was told Mr. Salemi was not in.
I had returned items previously and never had to go through this exchange of my personal information.
I bought the items with credit card and was using that same card to have the refunded money applied to it. What was the reason for having to scan my Driver's license? I was not having the refund in cash.
I wrote corporate headquarters and was told it was the policy of local store
Mind you this was for a GRAND total of $4.31!
I used the same credit card for purchase for buying the items originally as I was for the refund. No one asked me for my driver's license when I bought the items!
This is absurd. No doubt my information us being sold which explains why recently my email is receiving an increase in SPAM.
I resent this invasion of my privacy.
Believe me I will shop elsewhere!
I love this place! The people here are amazing! They all know where everything is in their store, anytime I need something there is an associate there to help. Very knowledgeable about what they have and where things are at. Everyone is always so polite and pleasant. You can tell that they take pride in what they do. The store is always clean and well organized. There is a huge selection of hardware, tools, fishing, household goods, kitchen appliances and goods, Stihl products, Traeger grills and any kind of grill item you would need. There is alot of plumbing, bath and kitchen fixtures. So nice to be able to get lumber and construction supplies here to make it a 1 stop shop for projects. Super convenient to get propane tanks exchanged or filled. So many quality name brand items that are so popular. The people here really make this a wonderful place to shop. I love just browsing through all the new displays and seasonal items. I highly recommend this place. Keep up the great work! We really appreciate the hard work you all do!
