Our guide Johnny was absolutely outstanding! His expertise and enthusiasm truly made the experience unforgettable. The entire white water rafting trip exceeded our expectations—we had an amazing time from start to finish! The staff was not only super cool and friendly but incredibly knowledgeable, making us feel safe and well-prepared. We can’t wait to come back next year for the two-day trip! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an epic outdoor adventure!
Great place to stay for family fun. Plenty of activities for kids, teens, and parents! The whitewater rafting is a major attraction but I always enjoy the rock climbing as well. The water toys and zip line are wonderful for kids. The bar often has great music and an inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended!
Our group did the New River White Water rafting, half day adventure. It was amazing!!!!! The river was up 12 feet and fast--1 hour vs 2 to 2/1 hours normally. They said it was wild & this did not disappoint. The gear & instructions were great!! Our guide Phil made this very safe with clear commands and navigating through the rapids. Thanks for the beer at the end! Excellent job Ace Adventure resort staff!!!!!
We stayed in a one bedroom cabin- enough room for my husband and myself. Hot tub was great. We also ziplined. This was our first time, the guides were amazing-funny and nice. We ate at The Lost Paddle- pizza night was delicious and you had plenty of food. They also had trivia that night which was fun and something different. We hiked and explored the area. It is a must for everyone to do at least once. They had so much more to do and in the summer month this would be so good for a family. One of our best trips.
I visited over labor day weekend and had a blast! I did zip lining and white-water rafting, and both of my guides were amazing! The lead guide for zip lining, Ryan was super friendly and kind. We did have one person get stuck in the middle of one, but everybody was so calm and professional. They were able to get her back within about 5 minutes. Rafting with Ellie was also very fun. She was encouraging and really good at giving us directions. I appreciated that with every rapid, she told us what to expect and how we were planning to navigate through each one. The supporting staff like the bus drivers were also great. "Stuff" was fantastic as driving a huge school bus through all the narrow winding back roads. The facilities on property were also pretty clean. As a first timer, it was very easy and convenient to not have to worry about transportation or renting gear, just check-in and go! Also, as a solo traveler, I think there's a good variety of adventures for people to choose from. Overall, a fun trip and a huge shoutout to the guides!
The rafting trip was phenomenal! We did the full day fall upper. Chloe was our guide and she is an extraordinary guide! She kept us all safe and made sure we had the best time! The lunch on the full day is delicious, my only complaint is there wasn’t enough food for everyone. There are herds of people on the sides yelling at you to do the opposite of what the guide is telling you, that I did NOT appreciate. Otherwise amazing trip! Ask for Chloe!!
The reason for the 4 star and not 5 is because of a female worker in the resort office. When we first arrived she was very short, cold, and not helpful whatsoever. We were going to stay there too but went to another hotel just because of her. Let me be clear though, the entire rest of the staff was excellent! We would definitely come back to raft!
We absolutely loved this resort! We stayed at the Red Fox Log Cabin with 12 people and it was more than big enough! The location of the resort is great, the bar/restaurant on property is spectacular! The workers were spectacular, and were willing to work with us when some members had to cancel last minute and when our rafting trip had a bit of a change. I highly recommend this location if you’re visiting this area! One recommendation I have is laundry! Please consider adding a laundry facility on the property, that would make it 1000x better!
We had an amazing time soaring through the trees on the zip line tour. Our guides Liz, Oliver, and Dakota kept us safe and ensured we had a fun time! The views from above the canopy and the gorge are breathtaking. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a scenic adventure!
