My experience was terrible.
After time in the chair, your then asked to wait to talk to the one billing lady which that took as long as the appointment.
That is not the only reason I gave it one star.
I was quoted for all the work that needed done. Payed my part up front. Then went in for appt with a different dentist and that dentist told me I did not need the work done.
I called 6 different times and left messages. No response
Went in there really nervous! They made me feel comfortable and explained in details the plan they had for me. Every question was answered and didn't feel rushed or bothered. Been to some places like that. I'm happy I made the choice to switch. Thank you Lisa for giving me all the details and how I can move forward with the plan provided for me. Loved the honesty provided by Doctor Gallegos.
Always super clean environment and tools. Friendly and professional staff.
Reasonable prices.

1/5 Stars - Disappointing Orthodontic Experience at Access Dental
My child has been a patient at Harlingen Family Dentistry (now Access Dental) for 10 years. In October 2021, their ortho department placed braces on my child. Initially, care was satisfactory, but things changed dramatically after their orthodontist left.
Issues Encountered
1. Unreliable appointment scheduling (missing entire months).
2. Infrequent appointments (every 1-3 months instead of monthly).
3. Poor communication:
1. No phone number for customer service.
2. Unresponsive emails.
3. Friendly but unhelpful office staff.
4. Unfulfilled contract: 24-month contract now entering its third year.
Financial Concerns
1. Paid $4,785 in full upfront.
2. Requested refund in July (still pending).
3. Additional costs for new orthodontist.
Action Taken
1. Filed complaints with:
1. Better Business Bureau (BBB)
2. Texas State Dental Board.
Warning
Avoid Access Dental for orthodontic care. They may take your money without delivering promised services.
UPDATE-LAST REVIEW BELOW THIS ONE:
I am done with Access Dental of Harlingen! I have given this place 4-5 chances after about a year and a half to fix their operation, but they SUCK!!! I had an appointment for 9:00 am Saturday. On Thursday I get a text reminder for my 9 AM appointment. Then on Saturday morning at 8:02 am I get another text saying my appointment Today is at 10:00 AM. It pisses me off that they think they can just push my appointment back a whole hour without calling me and asking me if that is okay with me. If I couldn't make that appointment time work, I would be stuck without a chance to get a Saturday appointment and would then have to reschedule. This is even AFTER talking to 2 different managers when they moved my last Saturday appointment to the following week, but then didn't even text me until after I had already shown up for the appointment to find them closed but 3 other patients in the empty building wondering along with me what was going on.
Be WARNED - Reconsider this Dental Clinic! I have had multiple experiences in the past year for myself and my 3 children where we were called only days before appointments to be told that our appointments were being canceled and needed to be rescheduled and of course at that point a Saturday appointment was impossible to get and they were still open every Saturday. Today 4/5/24 I was scheduled for a cleaning at 8:00 am. I did not receive any phone calls or text messages leading up to this appointment so I show up and one set of doors are locked, but I look inside and see some other patients telling me to go to the other doors. These patients also had an 8:00 appointment Today and they were able to just open the door and walk in. However, the lights were all turned off and there were no staff-the place was a ghost town. The other patients proceeded to tell me that they also never got any phone calls or text messages to remind/confirm or reschedule their appointments. Understand that last month I had been informed by them canceling my daughter's Saturday appointment 3 days prior that this clinic has decided to only open ONE Saturday each month but I still don't know which Saturday that is because their Website, Phone Recording, and Hours on Door still state that they are open Saturday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, which Indicates being open every Saturday. This place clearly doesn't value their customers or care about the service they provide. Employees don't even set the alarms and fully close and lock all doors when they shut down!!! Looking for a new Dentist office/practice now.
Amanda, Allison and Dr. Bagheri were all very professional and kind. And also important, I did not wait long at any stage. Thank you for a positive experience. I will be back to complete the stages of the plan the doctor put in place.
7 years ago I gave 5 star but today If I could give zero stars I would unfortunately I have to at least leave 1 star! How do you schedule appointments and not stick to them! I mean we make an appointment for a reason we do have other things to do other than to be at the dentist office all day! There was 1 child in front of us and 3 children after us and to get those 3 children in ahead of us just because they had procedures to be done! How is that the right thing to do when we were there even 15 minutes early! We decided to walk out after the frustration!
Visited this dental office after not going to this office for over 5 years. Was pleasantly surprised! New management! Professional, friendly and courteous front desk, X-ray tech, hygienist and dentist-ALL made me feel comfortable. 5* experience.
