Best WLM Reviews
This hotel was mostly great. The staff was friendly and helpful, the happy hour in the bar was reasonably priced with several great food and drink options, and the location and price per night was unbeatable. The only drawback to this hotel were the beds - they were absolutely dreadful. Our party included me, my husband, and our 14 year old son. The two queen beds consisted of thin, worn out mattresses on flat plywood foundations. My husband and I barely slept at all and woke up with terrible back pain all three days of our stay. I would have been willing to chalk that up to us being in our 40’s, but even our 14 year old complained about the bed.
A comfy bed is one of the most important parts of a hotel stay. This hotel needs to upgrade the bed frames and mattresses and then it will be a perfect lodging option for an adorable home base for a sightseeing adventure!
This was my first visit to the hotel and I really liked it. Perfect location in the center of DC, very close to lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and the activity around DuPont Circle.
The hotel is neat & tidy and the rooms are terrific; they’re well-sized (not large, not small), well-designed and contemporary in feel. I also liked the lobby bar for cocktails and light eats.
The staff was uniformly nice and welcoming.
This hotel hits the mark for price + cleanliness + newness + location + service.
I booked this hotel through HotelTonight, and I truly believe that paying a bit extra—$30 or $40—for a quality hotel like this one is worth it for the memorable experience. The hotel is clean, smells fresh throughout, and has friendly staff along with a nice dining area. The location is excellent, too. The gym is small but well-equipped and very clean. One of the best parts was that I had mistakenly booked only one night at a great rate. When I asked the front desk if they could extend my stay for a similar price, they graciously agreed as a courtesy to their guests. They even offered a slightly lower rate than what I had paid through HotelTonight. I highly recommend this hotel if it fits within your budget!
Stayed here during Thanksgiving break with my mom who was in town! Im a local but thought it’d be fun to have a little staycay. Johnny at the front desk was top tier from beginning to end. Warm, attentive, professional and friendly. I give this place 5 stars bc of him. I wasnt happy that the system checked us out a day early and I recd a call ab checking out while at lobby for dinner AND a knock (with an open door and peek in by staff). I was unhappy that 2nd day ab it but Johnny turned that around for us with his empathy and kept me lighthearted. The other guy offered me a $20 credit toward bill. Which was nice but taking care of my meal would have been even more appropriate! Thanks AC, Ill be sure to come back.
What a find! My daughter and I recently stayed here during a trip to visit colleges in the area, and we were impressed at every level. Our room was spacious, sleek, and impeccably clean, with super comfortable beds and pillows (though the ridiculously thin duvet made for a bit of a chilly sleep - wish they had actual blankets or heavier duvets). The lobby is beautiful, with plenty of spaces to relax as well as a nice selection of food and drink offerings (the nightly happy hour is a great deal). And you really can’t beat the location - walkable to Georgetown as well as all the big DC attractions. But above all, the thing that really stood out to us was the genuine kindness and friendliness of everyone who works there. We were treated like absolute royalty at every step of our all-too-brief stay by a team of employees who went out of their way to make sure we were happy and well taken care of. I will absolutely stay here the next time I’m in DC.
This place is awesome I love it!! I'm staying here right now. I have a suite and it's so reasonably priced this time of year and extremely spacious! There's an extra room with a big flat screen tv and a pull out couch and a really cool lamp. The actually bedroom has a king sized bed (comfortable) a huge mirror, desk and a spacious closet. I absolutely love the lighting in this hotel and in my suite. The bathroom is awesome, it has a huge jacuzzi, very good lighting options and a great shower.|The hotel staff is great and it's conveniently located in one of the best spots in DC!!
I travel frequently to DC and typically stay here or another Marriott. For the second time the bar has been completely out of stock of most liquors! They make all sorts of excuses but seriously with liquor stores all around how does this hotel find it acceptable to constantly be under stocked or out of stock !!?? If you enjoy a night cap or evening cocktail after the work day I do not recommend staying here.
Welcome and Check-In:
The welcome at AC Hotel by Marriott Washington DC Downtown was great, with a smooth and friendly check-in process.
Room Quality:
The room was mostly good, offering comfortable accommodations and modern amenities. However, it had a shared door with the adjoining room, which did not handle noise well. This resulted in being woken up at 3 am by noisy neighbors, which was quite disruptive.
Service:
The person serving breakfast was very sarcastic and not very helpful, which negatively impacted the overall dining experience.
Overall Experience:
While the hotel has many positive aspects, including a great welcome and comfortable rooms, the noise issue from the shared door and the unhelpful breakfast staff were significant drawbacks. Improvements in these areas could enhance the overall guest experience.
