Best WLM Reviews
I am truly impressed by the service at this hotel. It is brand new, with excellent breakfasts. The breakfasts are made to order, personalized from a menu. This place is perfect for relaxing with children or as a family. It’s simply incredible. I’m so satisfied, especially for such a reasonable price.
My girlfriend and I came for a quick one-night stay and were very impressed. This was our second time staying at an AC Hotel property and our first time at this hotel and the high standard of quality set by the first hotel was definitely matched by this one. The room was beautiful and the bed (single King) was comfy and well made. One gripe I have is that the open-plan bathroom is a little weird (frosted glass is all that sets you apart from the toilet and the rest of the room) but I know that this open floor plan is just an unfortunate design trend that many hotels have adopted. But nevertheless, the room was beautiful, the staff were nice, and the location was great (solid food options within walking distance and a close drive to anywhere in San Jose). Also, HUGE extra points for the water bottle filling station located next to our elevator on the second floor. This is an amenity I wish more hotels would offer since most people nowadays carry around their own water bottle and, I assume, don't love filling it up in a bathroom sink. Overall, this was a nice hotel and I would happily come back to stay again.
Only thing I don’t like is the rooms lighting, looks and feels a little bit like a hospital room. Otherwise very nicely done and very clean! Very comfortable beds too. Thanks for the complimentary parking too. Outstanding! Thank you.
Located in Sunnyvale but having Cupertino included in the name perhaps to help people find it, this AC was built within the last 5 years and has a modern feel to it. The hotel has an outdoor parking lot (there's a $20/day parking fee) and what looks like also an underground entrance for more parking. It has a small fitness area and no swimming pool.||Breakfast/dinner is served in a casual manner in a bar area with small additional table which is set up for breakfast buffets (you can pick among 1 of 4 items for $10 or if you want that plus the buffet, it's $21). Dinner is a la carte ordering and was pretty good.||The hotel room itself was extremely small and there was traffic noise, so that's the reason I give this 4* instead of 5*, but it was reasonably functional - the bathroom sink and mirror serves as a partial wall from the bed and then there's a shower and bathroom behind separate glass doors. The road side room was pretty noisy (I had requested the parking lot side before arrival but I guess they were sold out so I didn't get such a room).||Prices are also very high during busy weeks but maybe that's the same for most of this area on weekdays.
Convenient location but awful rooms that are paper thin. Can hear water being used from nearby rooms all night.
Furthermore, their system automatically cancels all reservations without any notifications. The hotel staff also is unable to figure out why reservations get dropped. Seems ridiculous. Not worth the frustration and I won't want to stay here.
Parking is an extra charge like with other hotels, but you do get garage access with an elevator connected to the hotel.
Fantastic hotel overall with great service. Food was excellent, front desk was friendly, garage had a secure gate, very clean. All good things.
However, if you are staying with a plus one or more, the toilets could be awkward as there is only a glass door like a shower. Actually, it’s even less privacy than the shower next to it… more like a stall in a school bathroom… but glass. It was awkward to do my business when my plus one could see and hear me from the bed. If you’re into that maybe you’ll be fine.
Checkin for one night. I wasn’t made aware of parking fee until I saw it on my credit card charge. The front desk told me only for incidental but never once told me about parking charges of USD20. My wife forgot her charger in the room. I contacted them, they said will check with housekeeping and follow up but I got no reply or phone call from them regarding the charger. The Marriott app chat vanished a day after checkout as well.
Let's start with the wins: Clean hotel, I especially liked that it's not carpeted. Great location for what I need to be for my trip, and especially it's next door to one of the best Korean BBQ in the bay area (make reservation at least 1 week in advance or you'd need to wait for a bit). Very pleasant staff and checking in was super fast. There is only one draw back - I was assigned a room that is for hearing impaired individual (my hearing is fine, in fact, it's extremely good) - the room has a constant water running sound from the floor above it - it ran from 10 pm to 5:30 am - I was aware because I was not able to sleep, and finally passed out at 5:30 am when there was a moment of peace; water started to run again at 6:30 am, and by that time, I got up. If you are a light sleeper, at checkin, make sure you don't get a room the same room, I was assigned room 224. As nice and clean as everything were, I was not able to rest due to the noise - hence the 2 stars for room.
