Best WLM Reviews

We were here for 7 nights. One of us had week-long conference and we preferred to be downtown rather than stay at conference hotel near Convention Center. The MAX light rail to get to the conference had a stop 2 minutes walk from the AC hotel—worked great. The other of us enjoyed easy access to Portland sights and experiences (I could walk or take bus or MAX everywhere I wanted to go). Hotel gave us upgrade room which was terrific (top floor, corner). Everything spotlessly clean. Front desk personnel were friendly, helpful, attentive. We would stay here again for sure!
We just checked in. Nice hotel. The room we're staying in is kinda small for 2 queen beds but comfortable. Decent size bathroom...very clean. They don't have a parking garage but do offer valet for $50/night per vehicle before any discounts if you have one. There are parking garages nearby within walking distance that are cost effective if you don't want to valet. Check in and Valet were easy and painless. Very accommodating.
I loved the hotel! It seemed like a five star hotel, atmosphere wise. The rooms and lobby are very pleasant and smell good. I love the aesthetic of the room and the restroom. Seems very luxurious.
The only negative side of this hotel is that it doesn’t count with parking so we had to park at a public parking across the street and pay.
This hotel is beautiful, clean, and modern. It was a super comfy stay. Breakfast is NOT included but for $18, you get a hot cooked breakfast from a menu PLUS an unlimited continental buffet. Perfect. There is also free coffee and tea all day.||The rooms were very nice and there is no carpeting so you feel really really fresh and clean. It was NOT a cheap stay but we felt it was worth it. They also provide a free airport shuttle (in a Mercedes SUV) that will also take you to the sights and to restaurants, as well as pick you up. Unfortunately, this is only for parts of the day midweek with more extensive hours from Thurs - Sundays. I recommend calling first because when we landed in Portland in the morning, we were forced to call a cab because the shuttle wasn't operating.||We loved that the check out time was noon! Bonus!||Were the any cons? Yes, but only if you didn't do your research. This is a select service hotel in the Marriott chain so there is no full service restaurant AND no pool. So those would be cons if you were expecting those at this hotel but for the three of us on our girls' trip, it was a really good choice!
The hotel was clean and comfortable. King room with couch had plenty of room. Breakfast was better quality and a lower price than numerous hotel competitors. Location is great, with easy access to everything downtown (including light rail) and about a 15 minute walk in one direction to PSU and 15 minutes in the other direction to the shopping / dining / Powell’s Books of the Pearl District. ||Knocking off one star due to minimal space for clothes. Six hangers and one small drawer were the only options. That’s fine for one person for 3 days, but not for more people or a longer stay. There is ample room for a dresser but instead there is something that is sort of a bench but the seating is directly below where the TV is mounted on the wall. ||Having stayed at a different AC Hotel that lacked bathroom privacy, I was glad to see that despite there being a frosted glass door, the wall with the toilet and the wall with the shower were solid. And the walls were floor to ceiling. And when you are inside the bathroom you can access the towels. One oddity of the sink design and its high water pressure: If you are not careful, you will get water on you, which may be embarrassing. ||I’d be happy to stay here again. Replace the sort-of-bench with a dresser and it would be 5 stars (within the business traveler category).
I checked in after reserving a room with a dog-friendly rate. The front desk argued with me, saying I hadn’t done that and charged me $50 per night. When I got back to my room, I saw on my reservation that it indeed included a dog-friendly rate with no dog fees, so I went back to the front desk. I received attitude from the front desk person, who said they’d “see what they could do.” Then I asked for a bowl for water and food but never received it. I’m on day two and still being ignored.
At 12 PM on the second day, I informed the front desk I’d be leaving my room for a few hours and requested it be cleaned. It’s now 6:21 PM, and I’m back in my room, which hasn’t been cleaned. The room was dirty, hadn’t been dusted, and clearly hadn’t been fully cleaned in who knows how long. It’s just not worth it. I’d rather pay extra to stay somewhere else that’s actually clean and truly dog-friendly than ever stay here again. First time and last time!
Sharp decore when I walked in. Friendly staff at the front desk. Beds were very cozy. Aries was so accommodating when our group needed to hold our bags after checkout when we left to explore the city. Titus was one of the friendliest and thoughtful bar tenders. In a busy time, once he knew my order, all he needed was a head nod to work on the next drink. Loved my stay
Everything was fantastic! The room, the facilities, the location, the customer service - what an amazing place. I had a delayed flight causing me to miss my first of four nights here but the manager Katie was SUPER accommodating. They went above and beyond to ensure my reservation maintained the original per-night pricing and I was not charged for the last minute change due to a missed connecting flight. FANTASTIC customer service, thank you!!
