]I recently stayed at this property for the first time, as I typically stay at the Grand Bohemian during my frequent visits to the area. The location and charm of the building are fantastic, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. However, the experience was overshadowed by significant noise issues due to the property's proximity to I-4.
The complimentary earplugs provided in the room were a thoughtful touch, but unfortunately, they weren’t enough to block out the constant traffic noise. As a light sleeper, I found it nearly impossible to get a restful night's sleep.
I would recommend this hotel to those who aren’t as sensitive to noise or who might be looking for a more budget-friendly option in a great location. For now, I hope the hotel can invest in better soundproofing to address this issue for future guests.
If noise isn’t a concern for you, the hotel has plenty of positives to offer. However, if you’re looking for a quiet night’s rest, this may not be the best fit.
Stayed at the AC Orlando downtown for a special weekend during Christmas time. Hotel, facilities and rooms are modern. |Unfortunately, our stay at the hotel turned out to be horrible. I've never stayed at a hotel with such an unbelievable noise level inside the room (25th floor). The hotel is next to I-4 and the noise is unbearable. I travel a lot and stay in hotels 150+ nights a year, very often in airport hotels. Many are adjacent to runways and completely silent, if equipped with soundproof windows. Not so at the AC in Orlando. |We also booked this hotel because of many positive mentions of the rooftop bar. Yes, the bar area looks nice. But you want a drink at the bar, you need a reservation. That was a first. Other areas were also not accessible because of 'private parties'.|So, you stay at a nice hotel, pay $330 a night, can't sleep because of incredible noise levels and can't have a drink at the hotel bar without a reservation!?|I suggest you find a better hotel for your stay, I definitely will next time.
We had really been looking forward to trying out the AC Marriott. Other than the service, we were left very underwhelmed and disappointed. We had heard a lot about the sky bar - looks really like a cool space. Everyone at the hotel gave incredible service, Darius was particularly fantastic and accommodating when we needed to change rooms. Valet needs to work on their part, takes a long time to get the car. But although they try to package this hotel as understated elegance, we thought it fell short. Forget any work being done here - I’ve included a photo of my smaller laptop on the desk - no room at all. And it felt like when they were designing the rooms someone forgot closets or hanging space, so they added a small metal space, added a fridge, iron and some glasses, and gave you about 18 inches of open space to hang any clothes. (Hoping you aren’t here for a formal event, because you wouldn’t be able to hang a long dress) the elevators are a practice in patience, especially in the evening when everyone is at the Sky Bar - which you have to get through to get to check in.
We have elevated status at Marriott and have always had a fantastic experience with our AC visits at other locations. But this one is awkwardly placed on a busy corner off the freeway with too many obstacles. I would say, come and enjoy the Sky bar, but skip the hotel stay. There are too many other cool places to stay and this doesn’t justify the higher room rates.
Great hotel with modern rooms, but the real highlight was the super amazing bar. It’s on the 18th floor and the views are to die for. Nathaniel was our bartender and he made super delicious drinks. He was really friendly and fun too. I’ll be back.
I recently stayed at the AC Hotel Orlando Downtown while in town for EDC Orlando, and it was the perfect choice. The rooms were spacious and modern, with well-appointed bathrooms that provided all the comforts needed after long days out. The hotel’s rooftop bar quickly became a favorite spot, offering great food, drinks, and a view that added to the whole experience.
The location is ideal for anyone attending EDC or looking to explore downtown, as everything is within walking distance. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which really made the stay enjoyable. My only minor comment would be that the elevators were occasionally a bit slow, but this didn’t detract from the overall quality of the experience.
I would absolutely return here for future visits to Orlando.
Love staying here because they have one of the most kindest bartenders, Nathaniel. His customer service is outstanding. I even went to find the bar manager to give my accolades. But on a separate note, pretty clean rooms, beautiful 18th floor lobby with roof top and great location. Have stayed at this hotel on 3 separate locations.
Amazing views, easy to park, staff was very friendly, food and drinks for great. Although it was a little bit windy, they did have fans out there to keep you cool you could see the freeway and downtown both from the balcony at the restaurant. It said rooftop but actually it is not on the rooftop it is I believe the 18th floor. But as you can see, it was still very open. Everything was very clean.
Call in advance to check prices for their parking garage or find street parking.
Recently stayed the night for the Orlando Classic weekend. Just needed a place to rest my head for the night and the location was ideal due to the vicinity being near the stadium. Parking was charged at $3/hr and max $26 for the day as a separate expense which surprised me. Marriott hotels definitely will make you pay for the stay! If I had the proper planning I wouldn’t have booked this hotel due the costly fee. Aside from the cost the room was comfortable enough for me to get a good nights rest.
