First time staying at this location and it was superb! Kesh made the check in and check out process seamless and easy! His customer service was top notch! Very friendly and professional.
In addition, shout out to Server Edgar #289032!!! When I went to the AC Lounge for a nightcap, he was very polite and professional. He made one of the BEST lemon drops I’ve had!!! So glad I decided to stop by the lounge before they closed!
Great hotel in convenient downtown location. The king room was the perfect size for my 4 night stay and the view of the East river was beautiful. The bed was amazing and I had a great night sleep every night. The room comes with a clear door mini fridge and is stocked with 2 water bottles daily. You don't find that amenity in most hotels. There was no closet with doors but the open closet system was sufficient for my needs and includes an iron and ironing board. I was disappointed there was no clock in the room but with phones and tv, I guess it wasn't needed. The bathroom was small and clean and provides ample bath linens. The shower was terrific and the water pressure was prefect. Check in/check out was a breeze and customer service was attentive, friendly and responsive. The subway station was a 6 minute walk from the hotel. I will definitely stay here again while visiting NYC
Feels like a motel but has a great location close to the Fulton Ferry, 9/11 Memorial, Battery Park, the Fulton Market, etc. Parking was a nightmare — difficult to find & lot was closed when we got there, had to find other parking. |No privacy: room set up has the sink in the room facing bed, with the toilet & shower stall behind sliding glass doors. At night the bathroom light shines through the glass while the in-room sink wakes everyone up. Scratchy towels & toilet paper, loud HVAC. No housekeeping service offered nor breakfast for platinum. Took 3 hours & 3 requests to get missing/extra housekeeping items brought to the room. |Bill was wrong despite repeated requests to have charges removed for breakfasts we did not have. Still not sure if correct points were awarded. |On the plus side, the excellent location! Beautiful water views from room (an upgrade I think). Friendly front desk staff. But, would not return.
Went with family end of July. I was a little worried after reading the reviews that it was in a bad area and that it was far from subway. Happy to say I felt save walking alone from subway, even late at night. 10 minute walk from 2 subway stations which is convenient. A few pizza places or coffee shops near by. Everyone was nice. There is breakfast available for $25 and had lots of fruits which we loved and made to order waffles and omelets. The person serving us breakfast was SO nice. People at front desk were also very kind. They kept our luggage for us when we arrived early in the morning and when we wanted to visit a little after checking out.
The only complaints I would have is we did not have a river view, a microwave would be great and extra blankets. I would stay here again! Oh and these are double beds...very small double beds
This has been long over due. My boyfriend and I stayed for two nights back in July. We travel to New York quite often, and this was our first time staying in this area. We loved it! So cool to be by the Pier, the market, and the food places were so good! We spent our nights in Brooklyn, and it was easy to navigate by bike, uber or subway. No issues! However, the last day, my partner, suffered a blood sugar low, he is T1D. We needed to call the ambulance. With this happening, we were close to check out time. The lovely staff allowed us to stay past check out, until my partner was rested and well. The staff was so helpful, kind, and understanding. We were so grateful for the care. It is now going to be our go to place to stay for our New York trips. Thank you, from the bottom of your hearts, all of your help, care, and kindness. The rooms were also beautiful. We just loved everything!
The AC Hotel Downtown is perfectly situation in the business district of the city. Close to World Trade and just shy from Brooklyn. The hotel made for easy maneuvering via subway and Uber. The room was clean and modern. The bathroom was spotless and hosted a very powerful waterfall / regular shower head. The service was excellent and helpful. In addition, the room hosted a wonderful view of the Hudson River. We will gladly return on a future visit.
Who ever does the hiring at this hotel has really done a magnificent job. The team at the front desk is excellent and incredibly attentive. My check in was a breeze with Emerald. My room was lovely. A bit small, but everything is modern and clean. It was quiet and I slept great. There is so much history just steps away from the hotel and easy access to the local subway stations. You can walk to City Hall from here. I had breakfast at The Tin Building which is like ten min away. They also serve dinner there until 10pm. Dinned at T Brassier and it was great. There is a cool Italian restaurant down the street at 5 Gold street too. Weekend just across from South Street had large crowds of people enjoying the sunshine. This is a very safe neighborhood. You can also walk to Francis Tavern from the hotel and C 21 for shopping is just down the street. I will be back again for sure!
If you are going to stay downtown, this is the place to stay. The place is reasonable. Super Chic people at the front desk are so kind. Breakfast is not included but they give you a $20 credit. However, the room was great. The views are fantastic. Super clean. Highly recommended for the price in Manhattan
