Best WLM Reviews
We spent 3 nights and loved our stay. Had everything we needed within a short drive around the area. I was surprised they don’t charge pet fees which is quite uncommon! Front desk was beyond helpful and so sweet. It extends to everyone we encountered, staff was really great. Room was spotless and sheets were comfy. I’m not a fan of hotel breakfasts so I could go without their options which other reviewers say is limited. Upside is that there are a lot of brunch spots to choose from nearby in El Segundo or MB. Such a great area not just by being close to airport but in proximity to many nice neighborhoods in South Bay.
Very nice hotel AND close to LAX. Highly recommended. I had a 14 hour layover after arriving on an international flight and Hotwired this hotel to get some sleep before returning to the airport. The AC hotel is new and very modern. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable, quiet, very clean and spacious. I did not go to the bar but it looked very nice. The bed was very comfortable with high end sheets and pillows. I got great rest. The room had a safe, ironing board with iron, coffee, desk, reading lamps, mini fridge with two small bottles of complimentary water and lots of towels in the bathroom. This hotel room was as nice or nicer than some 5 star hotels I have stayed at. I was extremely happy and have no complaints. Check in was very fast and staff was polite. One drawback, I did not see any restaurants in the area. The hotel has a restaurant but I did not eat there. There was complimentary coffee in the lobby but no breakfast in the morning. Overall, I was very happy and I will stay there again if I am in the area.
Nicholas C. was very helpful and friendly in valet. He greeted us promptly and brought our car promptly. The hotel was nice and clean. Nice bar area and restaurant downstairs. The room above us made a lot of noise during the night but otherwise great stay.
Serene, calm, and restful after long international flight. Staff welcoming and caring. NICE room, very comfy bed. Rooftop bar and downstairs Happy Hour Lounge. Amenities great. Breakfast area very nice. AP shuttle very convenient. Nice dinner on rooftop. Thanks
Loved this clean, modern 4 star hotel. Cool rooftop bar (Flora), nice indoor/outdoor AC Lounge. The rooms felt new. They were very clean and a nice size. Loved the ceiling shower. Didn’t love the sink. Hard to keep clean. It’s about 4 years old but feels even newer. Best hotel in El Segundo/LAX area. $34 self-parking is lower than most. Next to a Hyatt and you can use their pool and self laundry.
Everyone at the hotel was friendly, kind, and helpful. While it would have been better to get in my room before my work event at 5 pm, the room was feather-free. Not every hotel gets that right and as a highly allergic person, that is the most important thing. Amulya and the lady with him, when I checked in, were kind and made me smile. Elizabeth at checkout was also very kind.
Giovanni was very helpful to me. I drive a Tesla so when I got ready to drop my car off, I could not find the key to my car, so the young man that was there at the drop off just, and since my car was already running. he drove it and parked it. When I came back to pick up my car, Giovanni assisted me with going to the parking garage and helping me to find my car. I drove him back downstairs, where he had left my luggage at the front desk, this was outstanding hospitality on his part. I really appreciate Giovanni going above and beyond to give me a great customer experience
This review is only for the rooftop restaurant. We had seen posts about it and we live just a few miles away. Figured we'd give it a try.
First off, since it's in a hotel, the parking is either valet or in a timed parking garage. Luckily, they validate your parking if you eat at the restaurant. Although, parking in the structure is challenging as most of the spots have "Reserved for..." signs on them. We wound up going up to the third floor and just gave up and parking in one of them. Only to discover that the elevator in the garage was out of order. We are in decent shape so walking down and up three flights of stairs isn't a bid deal but I'm sure it would be for some.
The hotel was hopping when we walked in. There's a lobby bar that had at least 50 people in it celebrating happy hour.
To get to the rooftop restaurant, you simply walk past check-in, turn left towards the elevators and go to the top floor. All the elevators go up there so pick anyone that comes down first.
Once up there, you don't see if when you exit the elevator, but there's only one direction to go. Walk that way and to the right.
Indoor and outdoor seating, nice looking but not over the top. We wound up being seated at the community style center section, with the glass enclosed fire pit. Nice to have on cool evenings.
No paper menus so you have to scan a QR code. We tried the tacos and the sliders. Both were okay and, with today's pricing, quality and quantity didn't meet the price level for us.
Glad we tried it but don't have any plans to return.
Hope your experience is better than ours and...enjoy!!!
