Best WLM Reviews

I really like this hotel. I received outstanding customer service from Lorenzo. I arrived early and a room was not ready for me. Lorenzo went above and beyond to ensure that I was comfortable while waiting in the lobby. His pleasant demeanor in providing updates was better than most customer service in supposed 5 star hotels. I appreciate you Lorenzo and AC Hotel! My room was clean and while some people complain about the elevators, I didn’t think that the wait was abnormally long. Enjoyed my stay.
This is a nice hotel in a convenient location. The hotel feels relatively new and well-maintained. Friendly and helpful staff.
Parking is convenient and feels safe.
Many restaurant/bar options within walking distance. Everything from high=end steakhouses to corner pubs.
We stayed over the weekend to see an NFL game. The stadium is a 15-minute walk, which means no parking hassles at the stadium.
The only good service I had was from the lady at the check-in desk. The bartenders were lazy, bouncers walked around like they owned the place while flirting with the other staff, and the greeter gave us wrong directions. The room we got was ok as far as appearance, but the lights didn't work right, the shampoo/body wash is cheap and stinks, the beds are hard as a rock and the sounds from the spectrum center echo throughout the room with the balcony door securely shut. Forget privacy if you're on the balcony, all that separates you from your neighbors are small sections of frosted glass.
We booked a room last-minute after we had a terrible AirBnB situation. We also had our dog and needed a place to stay urgently and it's not easy always to find one that will accommodate that. We're SO happy and grateful we found AC Hotel Charlotte. They are pet-friendly (they even have an outdoor pet-relief area on one floor with turf, a hose and waste bags) with immaculately clean rooms. They greeted us warmly upon arrival with a little goodie bag and a treat for our pup. Our room had beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows with a great view, which made it nice to work remotely from the next day. The business center is also a great spot to work in, and again, all the common spaces as well as our room were so clean. Everyone who worked there was super friendly and accommodating. I don't remember the name of the person who checked us in at the front desk and answered our questions before we officially booked a room (the day was 11/26 around 6/7pm), but they were awesome and provided great services. There's even laundry rooms on different floors if you have a longer stay. Also, the value for the room was noteworthy and the self-parking was very reasonable per day.
What an experience! The staff was amazing. Extremely hospitable and professional! 3 people really stood out! Emily, Nikki, and Kaitlyn! I can't thank these ladies enough. They were very kind, had great recommendations, and just a pleasure to be around. If anyone stays and needs help, these are the ladies to see! Thank you for all the help ladies!
The Pro: it's located on the light rail, making it easy to get into South End and other fun parts of Charlotte
The Cons: they pipe in a horrible horrible smell into the rooms. If you are scent-sensitive, you WILL wake up with a headache. Smells like cheap cologne, and there's nothing they will do to turn the scent down. There's a different scent they pipe into the elevators. It's equally as bad, if not worse.
Speaking of elevators, I've never waited for elevators for so long in my life.
There's more, but not worth the time to type. Would advise staying elsewhere.
Much too close to the transport center. Room lets in smells and noise from outside. Could smell pot smoke and cigar smoke at various times wafting into our room with windows and doors closed. In building cafe began playing music loudly around 5 am each morning and it came through our windows. Cleaning services are short staffed. Room was clean at arrival. Request for in shower body wash refill never met. Do not recommend.
THE ONLY REVIEW YOU NEED TO READ!
If I could give this hotel negative stars I would. I feel quite confident the 75 to over 100 people that were in the same situation as me this past Saturday would agree. Save yourself time (A LOT OF TIME), money, and sanity and stay anywhere other than here. You’ll thank me….. I promise.
1. From the moment you pull onto the property the parking garage is not adequately labeled and you’ll end up walking a mile because your level doesn’t have an elevator.
2. Once you are in the building you can only access the floors by 4 elevators. THE ELEVATOR SITUATION IS A NIGHTMARE!!!! There are plenty of other reviews complaining about this as well. You will wait, and wait, and wait, and then ride, and ride, and ride. It is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous and quite frankly a safety hazard.
3. Check in is at 3pm. We arrived at 3:45pm to wait in a mile long line (which is directly in the middle of the elevators by the way) just to be told our rooms were not ready. Keep in mind we were staying for 1 night for a concert that started at 5:30pm. We were told someone would call when our rooms were ready. LUCKILY we had friends staying there that had 1 room ready so we got ready and kept our belongings in their room while at the concert. 9pm rolled around…. still no call.
4. We go to the concert and come back (along with hundreds of others who were staying there) to be trapped in the ground floor lobby waiting on elevators because their “stairs were closed”. After waiting 30 minutes we got in an elevator.
5. We then proceeded to wait in line for AN HOUR at midnight to hopefully check into our room. At exactly 1am I reached the counter to check into our rooms. ONE IN THE MORNING. Paid $422 to literally sleep in a room that once we got into were welcomed with broken AC.
6. I’m 99% sure our sheets were not changed because I woke up to find a large pill in our bed that was not ours. How lovely…..
7. The staff is rude. The lighting in the bathroom is poor. Our shower had a leak and flooded half of our bathroom. We got charged twice for parking when only one room had a vehicle. We got charged incorrectly for TWO rooms. It was a hellacious experience and I will NEVER stay there again nor recommend it.
8. STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE THIS HOTEL IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!!
