I had the trio fajitas. it was a decent meal I really can't give 5* : it comes on a hot plate which quickly burns the onions, it's generous in meats but the plate of sides (cream, cheese, tomatoes) to fill the tortillas is very small comparatively and the fajitas end up too dry.
The service was decent but lacked a certain friendliness
Excellent food and top-notch service, Lori L did a great job and very personable The papas are the primary factor driving my patronage. The chips and salsa are exceptional, and upon request for habanero sauce, it will promptly be provided and packs a little heat . The fajitas we shared were of high quality with extra onions, next time I will be sure to ask for more zucchini and squash grilled with the onions.
Food was amazing! Service was outstanding! Jason the manager was amazing! Robert our waiter was also amazing! Great margaritas too!
I came for dinner and have been here several times, but this time i got the tortilla soup which was great, but the chicken fajitas were very tough and sides not really that good for some reason. The verde salsa with pineapple ???? is delicious
One of the best meals I've had all year! Was truly delicious, great flavor and presentation.
Best experience! Cole was awesome, he got our orders perfect and he ensured all of our dietary needs were met( food sensitivities, etc) Will definitely visit again.
I don’t give many places 5 Stars but this place certainly deserved it. I had eaten at an Abuelo’s years ago in Kansas City and wasn’t impressed with it but this one was a good friend’s fav.
First of all, this is a very nice place. It has a more upscale feel than the traditional Mexican restaurant.
We were seated right away and the waiter quickly brought out chips & salsa. Or I should say salsas. Salsa comes in a 3 hole dish with a roasted, green, & traditional red with a smoky flavor. They were all excellent and I couldn’t really pick a favorite. The green wasn’t a traditional verde but had a sweet pineapple flavor to it. I enjoyed them all with the wonderfully thin white corn chips.
My wife ordered The Grande which is the ultimate combo with a tamale, beef, cheese, & chicken enchiladas, beef taco, chile rellẽno, cilantro lime rice, & refried beans. I ordered the combo fajitas with steak & chicken. We ate off each other’s plates and enjoyed the immense variety we had. If anyone was listening to us when our food arrived they would have been enamored with the oohs & ahhs as we tried all the different dishes. We were in Tex Mex heaven and didn’t have a bad thing to say about any of it.
Our waiter was great and kept us filled up with chips, salsa, & drinks.
On the way, I told my wife that this was our Valentine’s meal and after eating there we couldn’t have picked a better place. We were both blown away with the variety of flavors and the quality of food.
Would I go back? Certainly, this will be on my foodie favorites list!
Love love love Abelos Mexican Restaurant! Good food and yummy guacamole! I always order The Grande...(huge plate as you can see and I can never finish it...leftovers for a late night or for an entire breakfast with a fried egg of course!!
