Tech at the front desk is sweet, helpful and professional however the doctor UPSSANA MADAN, MD is extremely unprofessional I drove an hour to my appointment even got lost 3 times I still made it there before the 15min grace period and the doctor cancelled my appointment. All while I being in extreme pain in both breast and pelvic area. That still ment nothing I was still canceled and told I needed to reschedule the appointment. The one star is actually for the tech at the desk don’t remember her name but she was very sweet and understanding,
EDIT TO ADD: DR MARTINEZ IS THE ONE THAT BROKE HIPPA VIOLATIONS! AVOID!!
Do not go here, find doctors that actually listen to you. I complained about my issues to these doctors for years, only for the doctors (women doctors!!) to belittle me and dismiss my issues. Saying I was normal and complaining too much. In reality, I had SEVERE endometriosis, and had it removed by a doctor that actually listened. Do not go here. I have left this office crying many times because they do not care about you. I am trying to find the name of the doctor that made me cry. She had short hair. Maybe Lisa?
Edited to add: they also broke HIPPA by leaving a VERY detailed voicemail about MY medical history on someone else’s phone!!!! Inexcusable.
Things were okay until I got a doctor's order to schedule what they considered a "special test appointment". The only way to schedule is by calling the front desk and have the front desk send a message to a specific scheduler and call me back. The scheduler did call back and left a voicemail message the first time I called, but I couldn't pick it up due to a business meeting. Afterwards, it's been quite a hassle to call them and request a call back. When I asked to see the doctor's note and if I can schedule the test elsewhere, the front desk refused to send the note for security reasons and the test can only be scheduled in their clinic. Will seriously re-consider coming to this clinic again unless there are no other better options.
Called to schedule an annual as a new patient since I had a long lapse in my insurance. Also mentioned I needed a referral for mammogram. When they told me the first appt available would be three months away, I said to schedule me but I was going to call other providers to see if I could find a sooner appt as there was a lump in my breast and 3 months felt too long. The rude girl on the phone said "well that sounds like a lie" insinuating I lied about the lump to get a sooner appt. Thankfully another provider got me in within a week and the lump resulted in biopsy (I'm fine) but could have been bad letting it go.
Dr. Martinez delivered my child 18 years ago and I love her but I will NEVER go back. The office manager was extremely helpful but that girl on the phone needs a job where she never deals with people.
They need to get it together here! Women are depending on their services. I have called DAILY to make an OB follow up appointment and no one calls back. I had to call the emergency line in order to speak with someone. (Which is terrible because I could of been taking time from an actual emergency patient!)
For my last pregnancy (out of state) everything was easy peasy and the office was a one stop shop. You had an ultrasound, saw the doctor and they took blood all in that office.
Here you jump through hoops. You see a doctor at the end of your first trimester (out of state, I did this at 7 weeks to confirm pregnancy with an ultrasound!). Here, you go somewhere else for an ultrasound - an appointment that YOU, the patient have to call into "central scheduling" to make. -which took over two hours to make because its a lot of being put on hold or needing to be called back or having to call back because you're hung up on. And when you get to the ultrasound place and tell them your experience with making the appointment they always comment that "central scheduling is terrible" - then WHY use them?!? And if it's so bad why haven't improvements been made!?
Here, they love to get you set up with a virtual visit. Then cancel it unexpectedly. But it's not so much the cancellation it's the fact that I'm not in the office every 4 weeks being seen face to face with a doctor. These virtual visits do NOTHING for expected mom's that would like the office to monitor their vitals and check the baby's heartbeat.
There's a true disconnect with how the processes work at this office.
I have had a great experience with the doctors and nurses that I've spoken with on my ONE visit (almost halfway through pregnancy ????) but all of this extra leg work and frustration with this place will not allow me to recommend this practice to anyone.
I’ve been calling since June to schedule my annual appt. for August. When someone finally answers the phone after multiple calls and multiple minutes on hold, it’s either no availability or “our schedule isn’t out that far” (asking for two months in advance). I’ve been a patient here for years. I’ve seen great docs and I’ve seen docs I would never go back to. I guess it’s time to switch providers and offices. It shouldn’t be this hard to schedule a ten minute annual appt.
I am going through my first pregnancy and really enjoy this office! The nurses are wonderful at getting back to you with information and the doctors never make you feel silly for asking "stupid questions".
I see in a lot of reviews complaints about having trouble getting through the front desk, which can be true at times. However, I have never had an issue with being not called back and find the larger the practice that is part of a big health network, the more steps it takes sometimes to get to who you want to reach.
I agree with the other patients. I tried calling for 2 weeks to schedule a follow up appointment from a procedure done in office. Left 3 messages, no return phone call. No one answered the phone every time I called for 2 weeks straight. For the scheduling desk, no one answers either and the line disconnects after being on hold for 20 minutes. Concerned about my health, sadly I have decided to part ways with this practice after being a patient for over a decade. Ladies if you are not happy and feel your needs are not met, try a different practice.
