Best WLM Reviews
Abiko Curry in Palisades Park offers a delightful curry experience that's worth savoring.
What We Loved:
Curry x Meat: The beef curry (ordered with mild spice), even with "a little bit of spice," delivered a pleasant warmth without being overwhelming. It was rich and decadent, especially as you finish each drop.
Fried side dishes: The side dishes were a highlight! The fried seaweed wrapped noodles, fried pork cutlet, and fried chicken were all perfectly cooked – crispy and flavorful without being greasy.
Attentive Service: The servers were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Ambiance: The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, perfect for a casual Friday night dinner.
Points to Note:
Saltiness: Some of the dishes tend to be on the saltier side, so be prepared to balance it out with plenty of rice.
Overall:
Abiko Curry is a great place to satisfy your curry cravings. The flavorful curry, delicious side dishes, and attentive service make it a worthwhile visit. Just remember to pace yourself with the saltiness and enjoy the richness of the curry.
THE BEST KATSU CURRY PLACE!!!
The pictures are all from different visits, we keep coming back for a reason ????
The katsu is crispy and perfectly cooked, the curry is so flavorful, the curry pasta is really creamy!
Perfect portion size, great service and atmosphere!
The curry house comes with a parking lot in the back. It's nice inside, but they kept all the unnecessary stuff in the dining area. Things are getting old here. Services were good. The curry was delicious here and we always added chicken cutlets to our order. Level 3 spicy level is super hot already, be alerted!
Pretty good pork katsu curry. Sauce wasn’t as thick as I thought it would be but still good! I’d say a little overpriced, I think I’ll just stick to going to Mitsuwa for my pork katsu curry. I paid like $18-20 for my meal because you had to pay an extra $8 for the pork. The portion size was large though and it came with miso soup. Service was also very good!
Definitely overpriced, food is alright, portions are small. It’s just a bit of Japanese katsu curry, white rice, fountain soda and tempura for $20-$30. I’ve seen better prices and portions in midtown manhattan. They also don’t have bottled water…
It’s not a terrible place just not really a fan. Other reviews have mentioned the portions as well, Katsu curry isn’t even that hard to make, people are complaining, just give more… my pint was about 3/4 filled mostly liquid…
The flavors were very authentic like the one in Korea. The curry sauce was so good so I would recommend picking up one and trying it. If you have a decent size group, I would recommend getting a huge Tteokbokki bowl and share. There is 4 levels of spiciness, if you are up for it try level 4!
Went to Abiko craving some good comfort food. Ordered a rice bowl with fried chicken and a rose ttokboki with ramen noodles. The later dish was so rich and creamy. We were so full we barely ate the second dish. We wrapped it up to go. Definitely worth ordering again in the future. Just be careful. Their lowest spice level is still spicy! Be prepared!
A local favorite, Abiko Curry House is a korean-japanese fusion restaurant in a casual setting. You can choose your spice level, which is perfect since I prefer mild curry and my partner likes it very spicy. Curry is delicious and service is very quick & friendly :)
