I have visited this establishment 3 times now the vibe is pretty awesome. However security needs some serious improvement they seem to lack basic comprehension. I tend to not have the best time when my wrist band is to tight on my arm. Each time there has been a bully security guard at the door that won’t allow me to place my two finger down so he puts my wristband on in a manner that’s comfortable for me. He yells in your face and say, “I know what I’m doing, I don’t put the bands on too tight” as he proceeds to put them on way to tight for my comfort. They need to improve on customer service from that aspect. The hookah girls are very nice and attentive they don’t bully you for tips or make you feel like everytime they come to your table you owe them a 20dollar tip. Overall a great time however the entry customer service needs much improvement.
This “lounge” is absolute trash and if i could give less than one star i would. As a female customer waiting in line, I— along with another male customer—was shoved at full force by their bootleg “security” and fell over while waiting for entry to buy a table. However , since my friends still wanted to get in I got up and continued to wait in line and once again was harassed by the same “security guard” who threatened to push me again. When I understandably started to argue with this this “security guard” he waved hancuffs in my face threatening to arrest me (despite not having any affiliation with police) and the beer bellied owner came out threatening myself and my friends with recording us as if I had did something wrong. All the while, allowing random people who paid extra to bum rush the line pushing and shoving everyone else to be allowed entry. This is a janky ghetto low budget establishment and there are plenty of other better lounges to visit in dallas instead of coming to be abused by criminals willing to do literally anything for a dollar at this literal hole in the wall.
Owner is lit. Y'all they have NICOTINE FREE SHISHA! They even have African meat for sale! I called all around the city looking for it. We are personal trainers and we are pretty mindful about what we put in our bodies. We like hookah but neither of us smoke tobacco of any kind we need lungs at full capacity to endure the work that we do. They have weird rates by the hour BUT the vibe is acceptable for people like us who don't go out don't go to bars or clubs and being new parents we needed an adult/date night and Abi came through.
security will do their best to abuse you for no reason, pushing, screaming at you & yelling in your face. if you attempt to skip line they will allow some people, but new faces $20 to skip then another $30 at the door! it’s SUPER TACKY outside the venue before you can even enter the building. I was invited by my regulars & they were paying our entry, security didn’t care to let them come get us from the front to pay our way!
A popular hookah hangout spot. Lots of seating , club vibes on weekend/late nights with afrobeats and hip hop playing all night. There’s usually a food truck available that serves really good Nigerian food.
As you can tell from the video we had a lit night at Abi. We got a section and from the moment we walked in the door it was going down had a blast stay till the lights came on still nobody wanted to leave it was such a good time though static no issues just beautiful people having a great time. Where you going Tell him that Miami sent you.
I spent $27 on what was suppose to be suya and jollof rice, food was horrible the meat isn’t even suya and the jollof rice was average. I was very disappointed. I normally come here for after hours the club part is lit I always have a good time so I was very disappointed about this.
First time coming. Everyone was so nice.This place is great. Great variety in music and they made it happen for us I highly recommend Abi Hooka lounge. Will definitely be back????????????.
