I came here while I was in Clearwater, and this was recommended. Our waitress was really nice and gave us plenty of time to look over our menu. The food was amazing. I had the Blackened Rice Bowl with steak, and it was worth every penny. We also got Southwestern Rolls as an appetizer. This restaurant is a definite must try if you're in Clearwater.
** Edit: we have went back everyday this week for lunch. When I wrote this review it was Tuesday before lunch time, walking out of the hospital we talked about places to go…. Abe’s won my vote. We got the same server (Thomas) as the day before and he remembered everything we ordered, all the details. He’s awesome and very kind. We’ve went every day this week (today’s now Saturday) My husband and kids have gotten different items and everything is always so good. Me… I’m consistent and get the same thing daily. Honestly look forward to it!
Blackened Bowl with chicken was absolutely amazing. We have been staying in Largo for over a week due to a direct family member being hospitalized (we live in Citrus County). Eating out quickly becomes the way of life being away from home. Googling a ‘Burger place’ is how we found Abe’s. I’m all about places with great reviews and seeing this place having reviews in the thousands had me hitting start on the gps. We didn’t know what to expect, the door had a sign saying something around celebrating 20 years. Cool. But once we looked over the menu, made our selections and the food arrived …. I can see why. I felt like we were finally eating a delicious home cooked meal. I wouldn’t change anything. Adding a side salad to my dish with salsa as the dressing made this like a taco bowl. I hope to be back soon (like today)!
P.S. my husband ordered the blackened burger and he loved it.

We had to stop halfway through the meal to rate this place. It's our first time here from NJ. The service was quick for a group of 8. The drinks...I had 1 bay breeze and was feeling nice! The teens LOVED the wings, chicken tenders, and burgers. We even had 1 picky teen who gave it an 11 star review...you don't understand...she gives no one more than 3. We were there during a shift change which went smoother than the hospital with and unexpected group of 14 and 8 that popped up at the same time. Michael started us off with drinks and Kayla jumped in with the meals. This place was AMAZING. Now...back to our meal.
So I used to drink on the side deck (north! not east according to the review I read) when this place was Mugs n Jugs. I've visited three times since Abe's took over and have been very pleased. Service is a bit slow, but I believe that's because they're taking time to make pretty fresh food.
The photos are just one box of my leftovers made into quesadillas next day...yum.
Can't tell if the stuffed mushrooms are frozen or fresh, but the batter feels fresh. The chicken strips seem fresh made. So do the fish and chips. Can't tell if fries are made from frozen or fresh. Burgers are giant and AWESOME! The brioche buns are really good and fresh. Last night I got a "bowl" with bkackened chicken and black beans and rice... Awesome.
All I can say is that, compared to other restaurants in the neighborhood, this is great quality food. Not the fastest. But tastes great and the portions are over large. They could probably reduce their food costs if they weren't giving me three days of meals in one. I'd pay the same price for a smaller portion. Instead I come home with way more than I could have eaten.
I always eat on the deck so can't comment about the bar or the inside dining, but highly recommend this place. Went last night at 7pm, but by 8 the parking lot was full... Very popular and slightly local. Good experience all around.

Hello friends as you already know my name is Abel lol. So when I saw the name of the establishment I wanted to see what this place is all about and food service.
To my surprise the parking lot is huge and wraps around the establishment. There is also outdoor dining for those who wish to eat outside towards the right side of the restaurant.
Once inside the hostess counter is there and we were immediately greeted. Behind the hostess is the bar, a bit small location and to the left side is the dining area and that too is small. Booths are up against the wall with some section includes window view. In the middle there are open tables.
Around the upper wall are screen TV’s and in the middle you will see a toy plane hang. Pretty cool!
Now what caught my attention was the fact that this restaurant had condiments and paper towels including hand wipes, YES! Finally someone got it right. lol
1st service and food was excellent! So good I spoke with manager on duty and gave them an on the spot review.
2nd visit it was a disappointment, our waiter came over introduced her self pretended she was the bomb by not writing down our order walked away we got the order and it was incorrect plus missing food items we requested. We never saw her again until we called her out on it.
I like this place and the atmosphere, the culture and dynamics are good. You have to come check this place out and try the buffalo wings with poppers.
Now would I come back a 3rd time and try again to see if the experience is good? Absolutely, I’ll be coming back and do a 3rd review. I’ll keep you all posted.
Haven't been here before so we tried it out. The atmosphere was pretty chill, the server was amazing. She had such a great attitude and such a great sense of humor, made our visit really wonderful. The food however was basically just okay. Didn't really have much taste to it. I basically left there hungry as I didn't want to finish what I had because it really didn't taste that well but that's not to say I wouldn't try something else next time.
So I met a guy named Nate who told me about this place. It's awesome. The food was great, the drinks were great, the service was superb. The boneless wings really are some of the best you'll find in Florida. The service was quick, friendly and very attentive; always coming back around to make sure we were good. The fried cheesecake is a must have if you have a sweet tooth. It's no wonder they've been around for 20 years; they really know how to treat their customers. Definitely recommend this place for any occasion.
