Best WLM Reviews
Beautiful vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options.
This may be my favourite restaurant of all time. The menu items were fresh, delicious and inventive.
Our favourites were the avocado lettuce cups (not pictured) and the cauliflower but everything was excellent.
The staff were friendly, kind and helpful with recommendations. They were also welcoming to children.
This restaurant is a must!
Came here on a Tuesday evening for an early dinner before a show. We arrived for our reservation as the restaurant was opening and were taken straight to our table. The dining space is airy, light and bright. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful with walking us through popular menu items. For dinner we shared the dosa with chutneys, crisp cabbage, off menu hen of the woods special and the spinach spaghetti. While we enjoyed every single dish, we both agreed that the spinach spaghetti was the best bite we ate on our entire trip to NYC. It was perfectly al dente with just the right amount of brightness and Parmesan. I cannot recommend it enough. Will for sure be back!
ABCV offers an innovative dining experience with a strong focus on experimental vegetarian food. The starters were a highlight—both the Dates starter and the Lettuce Leaf starter were absolutely perfect, showcasing creativity and balance.
The main course dishes, while intriguing and experiential, were somewhat average in execution compared to the starters.
Service was exceptional, thanks to Adam. His attention to detail, caring demeanor, and insightful suggestions greatly enhanced the overall experience.
ABCV is worth a one-time visit for its unique approach and impeccable service.
The place was super cute and spacious. The pancakes were DELICIOUS! Also hummus really great. Love conquers all was tasty. The mushroom dish was heavy on the mushrooms. Servers were kind and helpful.
We got the crisp cabbage, beluga lentils, Bolognese, hemp seed burger, chocolate cherry layer cake, and apple tartine.
The crisp cabbage was a really excellent blend of textures and flavors, loved the Asian pear and dressing. Lentils were maybe Moroccan inspired and also really excellent - so flavorful!! Bolognese was yummy and the burger was phenomenal!! Actually the burger really had me speechless, not only was the texture quite meaty... It was also so soft and juicy but very formed so it didn't just crumble like most veggie burgers. I'm really in awe of how they've crafted it. Plus with the sauces for the burger it was really out of this world, best veggie burger I've ever had. The fingerling potatoes that came with it were whatever though but I didn't care because by this point I was already stuffed. My partner loved the apple dessert. I found the chocolate cherry cake a little lacking and wouldn't get it again but the food was worth revisiting for sure. We'd like to come back again soon!
Exceptional vegetarian restaurant in nyc. Food was out-of-this-world delicious! We tried the hummus, dosa with yogurt, yam, cauliflower, sticky rice, and bolognese. Highlights were the hummus, dosa with yogurt, and the sticky rice! Staff was very professional and friendly.
We had a large group reservation for 9 for a special event and this was hands down the best experience I have ever had in the city with a large group. The event manager was fantastic to work with, they provided custom menu cards, and the price ($68pp) for a 7-course tasting menu was a steal. All of the food was fantastic and the timing and execution of the service was perfect. Finding places for large special dinners in the city (especially as vegans) can be really tricky, and this restaurant really delivered. Manager and staff were also fantastic and created a really positive vibe that added to the experience. Individually the dishes were great, but as a total experience, maybe the best dinner I've ever had.
Incredible high-end vegan dining experience! I almost never go out to “fine dining” spots because, being vegan, my options are usually quite limited. ABCV is a fully vegetarian, mostly vegan menu served in a fancy yet not at all stuffy environment. We went for a special
anniversary dinner and every person who came in contact with us, from the host to the waitress to the food runners made sure to wish us a happy anniversary. We opted for the three course Restaurant Week menu. First course was a beet tartare with some beets pickled, some softly cooked, topped with fresh herbs, capers, and a heavenly avocado purée. The other first course was a plate of variously prepared cucumbers with dill and a cashew kefir, preserved lemons, and a spicy grilled Turkish pepper. Seems simple but the flavors were complex and deeply satisfying. Second courses were gigante beans and long beans served in a light broth with a crostini topped with a fresh tomato salsa (kind of like a fancy bruschetta) and then my favorite dish of the night: morels served with charred tofu, broccolini, ginger, and a wild yuzu oil sauce. I’ve never tasted mushrooms like this, truly special.
Dessert was out of the world: 1) a cold “soup” with red berries topped with a coconut poppy seed sorbet (fresh, sweet, and tart!), 2) a scoop of vanilla ice cream with some magical little strawberry popped candies, and 3) a VEGAN and NUT-FREE carrot cake, easily the best carrot cake I’ve tasted.
The food was all top notch but so was the service. I particularly wanted to shout out the host, Paden Treadway, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome, moved us when our seat was in a spot where it was just too warm, and then came around to chat about the cocktails we had ordered. If they have the Chef’s Foraged Amaro get it. Like a root beer blended with Ferne Branca.
Perfect for a special occasion or date night.
