The Dr's and staff have always been very good to my children. Been visiting for years and not once have I felt like I was treated poorly. They are trustworthy and dependable and most of all took all the time necessary for my kids needs. I have always felt like we are important and our needs matter to each member of this office. They are always friendly and happy to help in any way possible. Thank you for attending to my children with the superior care given!
My LO’s pediatrician joined this company. So we followed… The first few encounters with the front desk staff, one was pretty rude and curt. That seemed to subside but what I really have a problem with is the misinformation I have received twice about the immunization schedule. First, I came in for 6 month vaccinations, and the front desk (the same particular rude employee) told me that I had to reschedule because my LO was not old enough. Counting the weeks from birth she was exacting 6 months that day; she made me reschedule stating it had to be by the month (on the exact birthday). I later look on the CDC website at home: “ For calculating intervals between doses, 4 weeks = 28 days. Intervals of ≥4 months are determined by calendar months” also “Vaccine doses administered ≤4 days before the minimum age or interval are considered valid…”. If she wasn’t so rude and adamant, I would chuck it up to a mistake but she did not hear anything I had to say. The second incidence occurred surrounding the RSV vaccine. When I inquired about the vaccine, I was told my child didn’t qualify. I insisted and then they looked into it and discovered that she did, but they didn’t have the dose she needed. Had to wait for the height of RSV season to come back. Made the appointment to go back, they told me, my LO couldn’t get the vaccine because she is over 6 months (she was 6 months at the previous appointment); she was 8 months at that time. I asked for a little more explanation and staff from the back reiterated the same thing. And apparently the NP called to say the same (not refuting that she left a voicemail) Something has been nagging me to verify the information… I go on the CDC website and sure enough, the RSV vaccine can be given for infants up to 8 months. My daughter is now 9 months and sick. Hope it’s not RSV. Very disappointed. Please be careful. Advocate for your children. Verify their information.
This place is awesome!!!! The waiting room is bright and tastefully decorated with a train that goes around the ceiling! My son loved it so much he wanted to hang out after the appointment was done. The providers are amazing too! Dr. Monk is very knowledgeable and experienced, even with children with special needs! We have also seen on-call doctors, all are amazing!!! Highly recommend!
Dr. Manaloor has taken great care of our daughter and is very quick to respond to questions or help. We appreciate her care so much! She really tries to go above and beyond to ensure every question is answered and not rushed.
A few weeks ago, my daughter needed to be seen for a persistent fever. Her pediatrician (Dr. Sneed whom we LOVE) wasn't available, so I scheduled her appointment with the Nurse Practitioner. I was very disappointed with her evaluation of my daughter. After explaining her symptoms, she only checked her throat and her ears. She didn't listen to her heart or lungs. She didn't evaluate for a rash either. As a fellow practitioner (Physician Assistant), I did not appreciate her not thoroughly examining my daughter. She also sent a strep test for culture and we never heard back from her regarding the results. I ended up taking my daughter to an urgent care later on that day to have her lungs evaluated for a peace of mind. I love our pediatrician who recently joined ABCD Pediatrics, but I did not feel great about my experience with the other practitioner.
Today’s visit with the lab tech for a blood draw went amazingly! She was so calming, nurturing, and thoughtful with her approach. My child didn’t even flinch and left feeling proud to get through a tough visit. Many thanks to her!!!
In general, the staff is professional and welcoming. Dr. Munk is great and always takes time to listen.
We have been going to ABCD Pediatrics since the birth of my daughter. My only complaint is that just about every year she has been to an appointment she has had a new doctor. At her most recent appointment she had Dr. Snead and I have to say she was by far our favorite. She has such an upbeat and cheery way about her and perfect to engage a child. I hope Dr. Snead is around for my daughter's next wellness appointment
Absolutely love Dr. Sneed but not the practice. Ladies up front are not the nicest and you can barely hear when they call your name. They lost our sons strep culture, they do not respond to emails/messages. You call and the call gets rerouted to different cities including Miami. If you are looking for a personable experience, this practice is not it.
