Best WLM Reviews
We made this our last stop on our trip to Mystic. I have seen this place on food shows and everyone says they have the best lobster roll. Check hours of operation before coming. Right now they have fall hours which are Friday through Sunday 11am to 7pm. Last day of the season is Columbus Day. They have a lot of parking, however, we came in October. I am going to assume the parking lot gets very crowded in the summer for their busy season.
It’s not fancy by any means. It’s a lobster shack with great outdoor seating and great food. You can sit on the dock or waterfront seating. There is seating indoors also. The employees are very friendly and knowledgeable. One of the employees saw me taking a picture of the lobster tank and took one out so I can get a better picture. I didn’t ask, he offered which was very nice. He estimated it to be about 5 pounds.
The food was great. I started with lobster bisque. Very good price and delicious. My only criticism is that it did not have pieces of lobster chunks. Any great lobster bisque that I’ve had in the past has always had it. I also had the crab cakes. Seasoned and cooked perfectly. Also a very good price for two crab cakes. Finally I got to the lobster roll. When ordering, remember there are three different sizes. I mistakenly ordered the smaller one which I regretted later. It was hot and buttery when I got it. The butter dripped down into the plate as I took a bite. I don’t know if I would say it’s the best I’ve I ever had, but it’s right up there. The overall experience was great. A wonderful way to end our trip to Mystic. I highly recommend coming here.
The last time I visited Abbott’s, I was a kid and I barely have any recollection of it. My fiancé and I took a drive down for a nice summer afternoon out and fell in love with this spot! It’s easy to see why it’s so iconic. I was impressed that for such a popular spot, there was plenty of seating and the line moved quickly! Everything was delicious, and we were even surprised at how good the lobster Mac and cheese was. We enjoyed our table by the water and could have easily spent a whole day here. So cute that they have a spot for desserts too! We’ve vowed that we won’t let so much time pass until our next visit!
So delicious!! I had the bigger one of the warm lobster rolls and it was amazing. The lobster was so
Good and there was so much of it!! I also have a gluten allergy and they had gluten free rolls and both the chowders were gluten free! Definitely recommend!!
The food was fantastic. I brought my kids here for the first time and they loved it. It lived up to my stories. The lobster was amazing. The steamers and corn in the rough were awesome. The crab cakes were out of this world! Everything was great.
The outdoor tent provided enough shade while enjoying the nice Father’s Day weather. The laid back environment was just what we wanted.
First time to Abbott's, and we were not disappointed! Excellent lobster rolls! We sat right on the water and enjoyed watching the activity on the water. No outside sodas allowed, but bottles of wine are permitted! We will be back!
Great spot to grab lunch if you’re near Mystic and reachable by either car or boat. I had the lobster salad lobster roll and it was good. Expensive but I knew it would be, and it was perfect sitting at one of the tables out on the lawn. A couple of people had brought tablecloths with them which I might try to remember to do next time. My Dad had the mussels which he really enjoyed but he did get about five small pearls - watch your teeth! Really cute low key spot that’s fun for everyone, has something for everyone on their menu, and perfect casual New England vibe.
Very nice place and friendly staff.
One of the best lobster during our road trip through New England.
Correct prices.
I am prejudice, I have been there a bunch of times basically the food is great , atmosphere Is nautical, it is out side on the waterfront, and last but not least it byob, the pictures I have are from a recent visit, my son got married at some very upscale place in Mystic, he wanted a place for the rehearsal dinner at a place where people can wear shorts and relax, so we had it there, we rented the entire gazebo, had a slide show and speeches, it was great , people enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, most people had a lobster, and they have other choices if you do not like fish, it did not cost a fortune, was like home grown upscale backyard party you ever had
