Best WLM Reviews
I usually visited the Fells Point location with friends, but this was my first time visiting this location with my family. The atmosphere was welcoming, with locals comfortably visiting with their families. Perhaps because of this, the service was excellent, and overall, I was pleased with how the food was served. However, I was a bit concerned about some stains on the utensils, as they didn't seem to be just water marks. There was some confusion with an incorrect bill during payment, but the service and response were good, so despite the delay, it didn't significantly affect my experience.
The food was pretty good here at Abbey Burger. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The food came out somewhat slowly I think. I did not care for them turning on music at around 730 because then everyone in the place started talking really loudly and it just became kinda unbearable to enjoy a meal with my family. But, the food was good.
Edit Nov 2023 - Increased my food rating and added pics of some food that I have ordered for delivery. Abbey Burger impresses more and more.
Harry’s peanut butter pie is out of this world! Also had the Southwest bison burger and it was also really good. Had it cooked medium and it was just the right amount of pink inside and was a really good bison burger. I also appreciate that the jalapeños on the burger were raw and plenty hot, which is just my style of how I like them on my burgers.
Harry is great always make sure to say hi to him if he’s greeting you when you arrive. Great service overall. Will be back!
Ate lunch at Abbey Burger Mt. Washington yesterday. The atmosphere and service were very friendly. Harry, the soup and dessert chef, came over to tell us about Friday’s option. The soup of the day, jambalaya bisque, was EXCELLENT. Our build-your-own burgers and the sides were delicious. If you like a large bar/pub atmosphere, be sure to check it out.
I just probably had the worst experience at a restaurant ever! The service was horrible, and the food was even worse. My wings came out cool, and my burger came out raw. It was so bad that even the waiter looked at it and said, “ that’s disgusting!!”, when taking it back to the kitchen.
After the wait and kitchen staff finished doing shots, talking on their cell phones behind the bar and flexing in the kitchen, our waiter finally appeared offering to remake my burger order. 20 minutes later our waiter reappeared once again and apologized for the delay. He kindly explained that the delay was due to online orders taking precedence. Another 15 minutes plus goes by, I had given up and requested the check. The waiter had the nerve to say for my inconvenience and trouble, he was “comping me for my burger”. I said wow!! You’re a real sport to comp me for something I never received. He then seemed shocked to know that my burger never came back out. Maybe had he not kept going out the back door with customers he would have been a little more aware what was going on, certainly much more attentive.
It was so bad that my wife even said to my kids, look around, we’re never coming back here again!! So disappointing, this was a restaurant we would eat at quite regularly. Never again!!
A+++ in the food. My hubby went for the game and brought me home sum food. Usually when i gotta reheat food it’s not as good, but the burger was sooo tasty and chips stayed crispy. I had the Baltimore burger with chips. I’m very impressed. Hubby said he had a great time there and service was excellent.
The staff was very friendly and nice. The service was excellent, definitely worth the experience.
My fiance got the whiskey jam burger and he really liked it. I made my own burger and got the sweet potato fries which were really good. To drink I got the Maryland mule and it was a a very nice sweet spin on the original Moscow mule, definitely recommend. For the dessert we got the apple pie, I can't say enough good things about it, it was to die for. Everything was really enjoyable, we will definitely be returning.
I got lunch here a few weeks ago. Food was great, although served in a tiny basket. I had to grab my own silverware, as I was given none and the burger was huge, so I had to cut it and eat with a fork. My biggest gripe was that after the gentleman behind the bar took my order, I watched him proceed to blow his nose right in from of me from a few feet away and go on with his business. Having worked in food service, I'd never do something like that in front of a customer..... and then to not sanitize one's hands or wash them.....disgusting. The upside to this experience was that my team pulled a huge upset (the reason I came to the Abbey was to watch a game) and that made the mucous spreading seemingly worth it. Will I eat here again..... hell no. Why? Because of the blatant poor hygiene of the bartender.
