This was my first time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered through UberEats. I ordered two baked chicken meals and was very disappointed because I was really wanting something to fill my cravings. The chicken we received was extremely small and DRY. I could not finish mine. The greens, while somewhat tasty, was more juice than greens. The 2nd plate ordered was missing the greens. I’ve read where portions were generally generous. That was not our case.
The on 12-9-24 had an attitude about we ask for hot fries. We order winds and fries in the snack box. We call to the table and told her about the order. She walk away and brought use a small cup of fries. The is a tall white lady with short blonde hair. She need to be retrained.
Basically a Cracker Barrel Drive fast food!!

If you like real food cooked like your grandma made it then definitely eat here.
If you were a regular at Dixie café, or the Black Eyed Peas or Po Folks, this is your place. I especially like how well they season and cook the fish and get it right which most fast foods and fast casual either under cook or overcook it. It is near the interstate and near Germantown Parkway. Also, I have posted the menu in the photos.
The young lady at the drive through was sooo unfriendly at the Abbay's on Germantown Rd.. the Mac&Cheese was severely over cooked. The Baked Chicken was so very tough that I needed a knife to cut it. The Green Beans and Roll were tasty though.
Broccoli and rice casserole had 2 stems of Broccoli in it...turnip greens had 2 bites of greens and the rest juice and the chicken stripes we so spicy I couldn't eat them... Abbey use to be good idk what happened.
The Cordova location has a guy name Larry who has a great personality and great customer service. Made me feel right at home as if he knew me for years!! Great job Mr. Larry! Keep up the great attitude and great service. You're going places!! Hamburger steak and baked wings for the win!! Sincerely Memphis Fire House crew
I wish there was a 4.5! This was exactly what we wanted on a long car trip. A quick Togo meal (from a drive thru) that wasn’t burgers or the usual fast food fare. It was tasty, quick, surprisingly hot, and relatively inexpensive ($70 for 5 people). We had the fried fish, the meat loaf, the chicken tenders, chicken n dumplings, and a 4 veggie/sides plate. The spicy fried broccoli was different (in a good way). The drive thru clerk was super courteous and sweet. We were a little nervous b/c there weren’t many cars in the parking lot, but we were not disappointed. In fact, having said all that, I’m changing my review to a 5-star, b/c overall, Abbay’s should def be higher than 4.0. I wouldn’t say the food was AWESOME, but it was very solidly good. We’ll definitely be back if we’re passing through. Maybe someday we’ll see one in TX!
