Highly recommend. The ladies are sweethearts. I was in and out. My braid are PERFECT. 10/10
I’ll give 5 stars on my hair because they did that!! I love my braids; however, I got there at 2:30pm and they didn’t finish until 3am!!!! I want to go back because of the excellent braids but I live an hour and 30 minutes away. It’s no fun driving that early and getting home at 4:30am! They stopped multiple times while doing my hair to handle a baby and their basic needs! My back and buttocks is still sore!!!
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY Poorly braiding methods one braid bigger than the other and hair sticking out the braid. Then they charge too much for poor service. They was arguing with each other too much drama keep your money and go elsewhere.
DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE! I used to go to this hair braiding shop quite a bit when I was very young. Back then their service was great but now they've gone completely down hill. You schedule an appointment 3 days in advance; walk into the salon to find all 4 stylist doing other peoples hair. To make it worse they JUST STARTED which we all know takes some time. I was supposed to receive micros at 10 in the morning. They started at 12:28. They stopped so many times to work on other clients hair and was left sitting there for 30 minutes until one of the stylists decided to continue finishing the task at hand. The worst part about all of this was when I called in advance I was notified the cost would be 160 dollars depending on whether I bought my own hair (in which I did). I decided to pay with card and for your information PLEASE PAY WITH CASH, I had left for basic training only to find out I had 190 dollars taken out instead of what she told me in the store and on the phone. This isn't the first time I've heard other people receive bad service from this same hair shop. Your better off going to the one in Jacksonville. My mother left this braiding shop to go the one in Jacksonville, walked right in and got her hair done. I should've done the same if only I had listened. And lastly the braids weren't even done neatly. I had hair sticking out from the braid and the knots at the end of the braid coming a loose the next morning.
If I could give zero stars I would. I had an appointment for Senegalese twists. Got there a little after 11am and did no leave the shop until 9 pm! Besides that.. there's visa and MasterCard postings inside, so i assumed I could pay with plastic. Nope! Cash only. After 1/4 of my hair was done I was asked for payment and had to go to the bank looking crazy to get cash. There were several workers' kids inside, one little boy who rubbed pizza sauce all over my briefcase. Think they cleaned it? No. I have had my twists for almost 3 weeks now and several braids have come out around the perimeter of my hairline, along with my hair but I have thick hair so it isn't as noticeable. My braids easily slip out because it wasn't braided properly and my hair looks 2 months old. Please don't waste your money people, go elsewhere!!!
The quality is good. The customer service is horrible. I’ve been there three times and sent 4 people to them. Today I had an appointment at 0930 and by 1100 the person whom was supposed to do my hair still hadnt showed up. The owner just kept saying she was on her way. She lives directly across the street from the establishment in walking distance. I refuse to wait all day to give you my money. I can get the same results with better customer service at Touba hair braiding which is who I will send all my family members to. In 2020 it’s definitely more important to treat your customers with respect and professionalism than earning a dollar.
Do not go here if you have long natural hair! The lady literally tried to use a rat tooth comb to comb out my 3c hair! I had to ask her if she had a larger comb which she said they didn’t, it wasn't until I said I think I needed to leave did she have one of the other workers hand her a larger comb. I got boxer braids, very simple right? Wrong! My ends were sticking out of one of the braids when she saw that I noticed she acted like she was redoing it and turned my chair around. Next thing I know I heard scissors! I said are you cutting my hair? She replied of course not, she was cutting the weave. Sure enough, one week later one side of my hair was cut in several random sections. Go here at your own risk, I did get compliments on my hair but it wasn’t worth it.
Owner is rude. I was asked to get up in the middle of braiding my hair so they could braid a quick style on someone else. It took them from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm to finish my kinky twists because of all the talking and switching. Please note: two other women spent the equivalent time in the salon getting faux goddess locs. Owner was talking about customers throughout my visit in her native language and English. My braids were pretty but I will not be returning due to the time, customer service, and overall atmosphere.
