Soo yummy and fills up your tummy ????❤️. I remember how it was before the new management and most of the food is the same which is great but the egg rolls are gross now , the filling used to be real cabbage and other veggies and now i think its a paste that was fz ????. They have new items that are delicious like the pork ribs ❤️???? and the service is always great ❤️ . But the restaurant before had mood lighting and more authentic artwork and plants to enjoy and talk about but now its white, bright and clean with TV's . Its just a different feel but the food is still yumm.
We highly recommend Abacus Inn. Last night me and my fiance went for dinner. We had the dumplings and crab puffs for our appetizers which were very good. Our entrees were Shrimp Egg Foo Yung and Beef Chow Fun both which we highly recommend. We will definitely be going back. One very pleasant thing was extremely nice staff with smiling faces. My husband and I have loved Abacus for some time now. We recently made a trip to have dinner. We live downtown Phoenix, and granted, it's not out of state. We have trouble getting over here. It's no surprise that their food is still so delicious! My husband had the "Happy Family and I'd like to tell you what I had, I am not very good with remembering what I had. Take a look at the dishes below. I love the fortune cooks, even though they are very cornie.
So disappointed with this place. They used to have the BEST egg rolls you could find. Whatever they changed to just tastes awful. I haven't ordered from here in awhile hoping they would switch back but no luck ????
I've been coming here for YEARS because I absolutely loved their Kung pao shrimp and egg rolls. They're now unfortunately under new ownership and have changed the recipes for both of these favorites. The decor has been whitewashed and it has lost its charm. Service was still great and it was clean but super sad and disappointing that I can no longer count on this place for a reliable, delicious and authentic tasting brown sauce. The egg rolls now are tiny and taste funny. The orange chicken was ok. Rice was just blah. Chow mein was ok. Sad to not be able to recommend this place anymore. ???? RIP ABACUS.
I wish you'd sell me the old brown sauce recipe.
We ordered teriyaki chicken, sweet and sour chicken and chicken eggrolls. The chicken was very dry. The teriyaki chicken was the worst and not even edible.
Unfortunately, we ordered take out and didn’t know how bad it was until we got home. We won’t be ordering again.
Have eaten here many times over the years. I'm going to echo lots of the other reviews. We had chicken egg foo young and chicken chow mein - both were fantastic! Ordered their egg rolls. These use to be huge and full of great veggies. These were something they were known for. Unfortunately these have been changed to frozen commercially made. Poor excuse for egg rolls. Paid $2 extra to upgrade to fried rice. Wasnt fried rice like you would expect - dont bother with that upgrade. Their remodel needed to happen. Seating was in bad shape and new booths are nice. Unfortunately they lost their charm of the former decor. Spent a lot of money to upgrade and now reflected in prices.
Great food at a reasonable price $$ service was amazing . Wait staff was great . We will be back
