Went back this weekend for dinner and the food at Appakadi was quite average. Nothing stood out in terms of flavor or presentation. However, the service was good. The staff were attentive and polite, which made the dining experience pleasant despite the mediocre food.
The egg curry and korma were below average.
I've tried the other aapa Kadai restaurants in the bay area. Love it everywhere. But this place was total disappointment. The food quality was extremely poor—overly spicy with excessive food coloring
Their "bhai veetu chicken biryani" was nowhere close to bhai veetu chicken biryani. For your own benefit, please disable that option. Chicken lollipop was too hard to digest. Aapam and kizhi parotta was okay
The service was subpar as well. I left the restaurant very dissatisfied and ended up with an upset stomach.
Went here for dinner. Wasn’t as crowded for a Friday. Aapam being their signature dish was really bad. It was a bit sticky and not well cooked. Kurma was ok but the taste of the aapam ruined it. Ambience is not good too.
DoorDash pick up service is horrible! My order was made like 1hr 30mins before the pickup time. Although the wait was excruciatingly slow and painful, food taste has compensated for the negative experience. Hope the management at this location do consider user feedback and improve quality of their take out services.

Ended up here before closing time. Ordered Chicken 65, Appam, Mutton Bone Soup and Fried Chicken Noodles. All tasted good and delicious, however since the kitchen was closing soon, we felt uncomfortable and didn’t had enough time to keenly look at the menu and order patiently. I would suggest that for the host.

Please don’t waste your money. I ordered mutton soup and chicken curry. The mutton soup you can clearly tell it’s fulll of msg and the chicken curry like very old meat and new meat mixed together. please don’t waste your precious time here and also the your hard earned money here. Your health will be spoiled. I live in pleasanton and your restaurant has given me bad food multiple times. I can’t tolerate. Better watch out. I wasted my money.
Ordered Appam, parotha and curries (chicken chettinad and chef special chicken curry), Appam and paratha was super tasty and the curries were good as well. We ordered medium spicy thinking it might be too spicy but it was missing that zinc that one usually gets in chettinad food, if you can handle it go spicy! The curries quantity was pretty good and prices were decent.
I’m not sure why people are giving it bad reviews. We came in the weekend and food was absolutely amazing. It was great! Food was perfect and service was awesome . We got the weekend specials. The pirates with chicken curry , mutton roast, and chili paneer
The best Indian food I ate in Los Angelos. Daniel was very hospitable and took great care of us. Highly recommend the restaurant.
The fish fry and biryani is to die for. Don’t miss the butter milk too
