I recently had the pleasure of dining at Aamantran Indian Cuisine located at 1594 Lakewood Rd, Toms River, NJ 08755, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This restaurant truly stands out for its remarkable hospitality and delicious food.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and outstanding service. The owner and the staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic dining experience. One of the first things I noticed was the ample parking, which made our visit hassle-free right from the start.
One of the key highlights for me and my family was that Aamantran offers halal food. This is very important to us, and we were thrilled to find such a great restaurant that caters to our dietary needs. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, all of which were flavorful and delicious. Every bite was a testament to the skill and passion of the kitchen staff.
What truly made our visit memorable was the personal touch from the owner. The father and son duo were tremendous, sharing fascinating stories about the history of the location. It was wonderful to see such a humble and passionate family running the restaurant. The owner’s ability to speak multiple languages was impressive and added to the welcoming atmosphere. It felt like we were guests in their home rather than just customers.
The servers and staff were just amazing. They were attentive, courteous, and ensured that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Their service was impeccable, making us feel valued and well taken care of.

4.3/5 Experienced a nice sense of childhood nostalgia when I dined in with my mom and sister. Growing up in Ocean County, there weren't many local Indian restaurants we could enjoy and Aamantran was the go-to. I remember it was a childhood treat when we could dig into some naan and chicken tikka masala!
Now that I've had the opportunity to frequent other Indian restaurants, especially when I was a student in New Brunswick, I truly appreciated having the ability to place a custom order here with the server. He really knew his stuff and catered to my extreme spice preferences, even going out of his way to give me a special pepper paste to top my Vindaloo with. The goat meat I had was tender and while not pictured, the bread was still as good as I remembered it.

My coworker and I went here the other week and everything about it was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious and the workers were so helpful in helping pick out unique food items and walking through some history and meaning of the food. Definitely recommend going here!
Came here many years ago & never came back. The food speaks for itself. Spend your money wisely. Read the owners comments before you go there. Bunch of uneducated people with no sense of profession.
Food was good, gravy tasted different for different sabzi. Most great part was Naan, it was freshly live made and not that thick...loved it.
Quantity was bit less but not by much and service was not constant but no complaints

Food is impressive, very tasty and flavorful. I ordered Lassi (yogurt based drink) and it was good until as I was half way through I found 2 fruit flies floating in it. So I’m honestly not too sure If i would come back.

The food is so freaking good. The first time we came we never tried Indian cuisine but now we want to return enough times to try everything on their menu. Very impressive on all occasions.
Finally, the service is on point. I don’t ever see the waiter or waitress refill it but the water bottle is always filled to the brim. And he constantly attends to the table I really enjoyed everything and heavily recommend it
