I have been a patron of Aabies Braiding Shop for over 15 years. The owner Mrs. Aabie has been a pillar in the black/ brown community for years offering affordable services and great customer service. My braided assign over the weekend was Esha ( my be misspelled) when I tell you that young lady retwist my locs and placed two strand twist pass my hips in less than 3 hours. I can’t help but brag on such an amazing job. Mrs Aabies is such a blessing and I thank God for her grace and love. I will definitely be back!
I would never go back. I asked for micros and for it to be long. I was told if I paid $380 that I could get it as long as I want. My micros look like they’re a 14’ and very thin. I can’t even wear my hair down for my birthday like I want. I feel I was taken advantage of because there were other people in the shop getting micros and were only charge $180 and it was human hair. They’re hair was full and long. I didn’t get anything I wanted. They switch the price to whatever they want. For this price I could have went elsewhere and I’m sure I’d be happy. I reached out to let them know I wasn’t satisfied and I got nothing. NEVER AGAIN. Please look elsewhere before you get micros by them.
Im a returning customer. I was seated and started on immediately as a walk-in client. Everyone was welcoming and pleasant. Fast service, I love my lemonade braid style and reasonably priced. Will return again
I called Abbies a day before I went and I sent a picture after I called I after what was the price on this certain style the lady said 220 I was like ok. Get there the lady that does my hair say 255 I was like that wasn’t tolded to me when I call. But any way I paid 255 it wasn’t no problem paying. I didn’t get the style I wanted . I call es back to talk to the person that was in charge the same lady that gave me the first price. She tolded me they can refresh my hair in three weeks and make the style shorter and she was going to send me a discount never received it. My daughter and I have been going there over eight years and it’s one person that always do our hair was out the country Amina. They don’t Value their customers cause the lady won’t answer my call back. This is the style that I got.
The same night I left the shop my braids started unraveling, I went the next day and paid full price for another style. No discount or honoring the money I spent for this 24 hour hairstyle, just $450 in the trash
Kuja has been doing my hair along with my daughters over 10 years and I truly love her patience and style thanks and will forever keep coming
I came in for simple crochet faux locs. Hair braider handed me the comb to do my own middle part down my head. It took much longer than it should have. Once I got in the car I ran my hands through the hair and it has huge gaps where there isn't any crochet/hair at all. They only did crochet in the top of my head just enough to cover the back. The braid foundation was not properly tucked or sewed down I have a braid just hanging in the back under the crochet hair. I had to coach the braider on how to properly braid my hair for the crochets to fall naturally and give the illusion of individuals. It’s not even worth going back to get it fixed or complain they just won’t ever have the opportunity to play in my hair again— to pay for hair and the style and to not even get a full head of hair is outrageous. It smells terrible inside they need a break room that is a closed space so that the customers aren’t smelling the food being warmed up. African food has a pungent smell.
This shop has been the absolute worst experience ever. I brought my son here to get cornrows they did decent so I thought I would try for some boho braids. The curly extensions weren’t parallel nor did they use the same amount of hair. I spoke with the owner she informed me that I could come the next day to get my hair redone. Long story short, the Braider had an attitude the owner lied and I had to find someone else to correct my hair. A waste of time, money and pure foolishness.
