I rarely used AAA roadside help. Several months ago my battery died in a parking lot near my bank. I called AAA and waited over a half hour. They use contract towing services now I think. Finally a wrecker came by the bank. He wasn't for me, but he did give me a jump start. I was able to leave and get a new battery from my car dealer. AAA is not as good as they once were. Be sure your car is in top shape, if you need a tow from them or roadside help, you might be in for a long wait.
I would never recommend using AAA Texas or AAA for that matter. My mom, a long time member, had her vehicle break down and called AAA for help. They advised her that it was "probably the alternator" and were adamant about towing it instead of driving. AAA sent out their contracted tow company to take the car to a dealership for repair. It’s alarming to discover that AAA would contract with a one-star company, risking their reputation in the process.
However, the dealership never received the vehicle. My mom assumed everything was being handled, but when she followed up on Monday, the dealership had no record of her car or key. The tow company claimed they had delivered it and even provided a false statement to the police when the vehicle was reported stolen. Their GPS showed the dealership's address, but the car was found the next day at a random business across town—not a dealership or mechanic shop—and the key had been left in a dropbox there.
Video footage confirmed that the tow truck driver dropped off the car 3 hours after picking it up, and both the driver and the office provided incorrect information about the drop-off location. This is completely unacceptable—this is negligence, fraud, and caused significant emotional distress to my elderly mother.
My mom trusted a company that has been around for more than 100 years and claims on their website to be "committed to public safety in transportation-related issues" while providing paid benefits like Roadside Assistance. Based on our experience, I would absolutely not trust them with my vehicle or recommend their services to anyone. AAA Texas and their contracted Texas Roadside Assistance are both responsible for this mess, and we are deeply disappointed by their complete lack of accountability.
Home & Auto policy. Price kept changing. Both home & auto jumped $500 different from quote. Excuses were new system and they were working out the bugs. Will never do business with these people again. Bait & switch. Dealt with Dave Johnson and his manager, Savannah. Might think twice before letting this company quote your insurance needs.
I have a claim with AAA. That was closed out without no resolve my agent Jazmine showed less then exceptional. I’m so confused I’m your client my car was not fixed she lied and said I opted out of having my car repaired like where do they do that at. Help me understand I’m canceling there service and will be perusing other legal actions. Bottom line AAA sucks and all there agents and management team needs to be fired
I filed a claim in August, after everything I told them with the guy not having insurance they said it would be filed as UIM. Then I went to pick up vehicle and it was $500 ded, I reached out and they said subrogation has to be done first before they can reimburse me the additional fees I paid. Now it’s like crickets, no one has called me back, replied to my emails. I filed a TDI complaint and they still won’t respond. This is the worst insurance company I’ve had. They overcharge and can’t file a claim correctly. The agent that messed up won’t take responsibility and “reassigned” my claim.
This is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. The agent issued a homeowners policy knowing it would be canceled due to unknown roof age, failed to communicate this, and ignored my follow-ups. Even after copying the manager in emails, I got no response. Extremely disappointed—this is people's lives, not just sales. Be honest and transparent. What a disgrace.
I ran an auto and homeowners insurance quote online and it was insanely too high for auto but the homeowners insurance was average with the rest. I received a call and voicemail from a Frank Martinez a few days later. He didn't sound like he wanted to be there and just going thru the company process but he also emailed me a very inexpensive homeowners quote. I returned his call about a week later, got his voicemail so I left a message. I waited and no return call so I emailed him and an hour later receive an out of office reply. Now, it's been weeks and I never received a call back or an email. I already purchased our insurance elsewhere and will never attempt to purchase any products from AAA again.
Horrible service after 4 years of membership I needed the roadside assistance and they have me stranded for 2.5 hours with my infant crying and plea for get her into sleep. AAA is nothing but scam and they should have be shame of themselves. Shame on you AAA from your executive to your agents.
