Best WLM Reviews
This establishment opened at 4pm. As we sat in the parking lot waiting and anticipating how this food we imagined would satisfy our dreams. Our host was very warm and seemed confident. She suggested drinks for us and took our orders and hurried away to get the drinks. The white wine spritzer was good. The rum pink lemonade was good also. I'm not a drinker but tasted both cocktails. Our appetizers came by this time and the fried oysters were outstanding! We anticipated the main course would knock us off our chairs!
However, they dropped the ball from here on out! When our orders came, I ordered crab and tomatoes soup. (All I tasted was tomato. You could see the crab but not taste the crab. The shrimp and grits didn't stand up for me either. The grits were presented with the 4 shrimp on top. After I moved the shrimp the grits looked like a square hash brown and had no taste. Not one of my favorites. However, the shrimps were cooked excellently! I did enjoy those. When the entree came, I ordered 2 crab cakes with garlic green beans and cole slaw. The order was mixed up my friend ordered the surf & turf. But I got her mashed potatoes and she got my coleslaw. When the mixup was corrected. The crab cakes were good as well as the cole slaw. The green beans were too salty! We asked for crab legs that when she brought them out to us, they looked like they had been in a fight, and lost! We sent those back. No thanks. I would eat there again, but only after I communicated with the cook directly.
The food selections were flavorful. The atmosphere was chill we sat outside on the patio and our waiter was super attentive.
Extremely accommodating wait staff for a handicap party. Super friendly staff. Appetizers of the raw oysters (Cape Charles) and crab dip were the star of the show. The fish and chips, breading was amazing, fish was bland. Grilled cheese was tasty. The fries are a strange asking Star. Flounder topped with crab was very good. The Bounty platter was lacking flavor. Overall the staff and drinks were very good. We will return and recommend to others.
Great food! The food was really good and the place has a very at home warm feel! The standing bar is a missed opportunity as we waited to be seated we walked over but weren’t acknowledged, I guess it’s used for storage but that’s a great spot for drinks while waiting in a table. The service was ok the server was sweet but I think we went during shift change. This won’t stop us from returning as the food was really good and it was a homey warm feel we will for sure be back drinks and food were 10/10!
Food was delicious and more than expected. The service was friendly, and though short staffed from what I understood, you could not tell. I ordered salmon Broccoli and mashed potatoes. My daughter ordered the Tuna melt with fries. My friend ordered Fish, the Tomato and Feta Salad, and Broccoli. All of it looked delicious and did not fail on taste. I would definitely go back again. Sorry the food was so good, I forgot to take the pics before I started to crush my food.
Such a cute little spot with a great seafood menu. I had a couple appetizers and the fish sandwich, and all the food was excellent. My friend and I each had a specialty cocktail and they were very well made and worth the price. The people behind us were very vocal about how good their food was too!
Great vibe and food with a decent selection of beers on tap. The jambalaya was satisfying with the blackened catfish really adding another level on top of the shrimp and sausage. The crab cakes were good and the oysters were top notch. Our group sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and tended to our drinks really fast. The prices are up there but I guess that’s just how it is for fresh seafood. This is definitely a good place to check out if you’re in the area.
Great local seafood and bar with many happy hour drink specials and appetizer specials. Nice selection of local brewery beers. Overall the food was really good. However, the crab dip was disappointing and lacked any seasoning, and the wings were the whole chicken leg so kids might be taken aback by the appearance. Service is excellent. Fish and chips is highly recommended.
