It’s pretty unfortunate that the small things keep me from enjoying this spot. Last time I went I just wanted a water and root beer, got the root beer but the tap water I was asking for i got charged as bottles. When I questioned about this, the workers to my surprise actually gaslit me into thinking it was from a bottle. I am not stupid however and had even watched them pull it from the tap. I have not once heard of a place charging 2 dollars plus tax for a soda cup of water. This is not right and shows the obvious deceit fullness of the employees and management of this location.
Food is definitely crispy when deep fried and the burgers taste ok, but like the one I had today are often sloppy when made and then wrapped in foil. Kind of like the burgers my high-school served in lunch line. On the positive serve is fairly fast and the rootbeer floats are still good. Just an average place but will be back for floats.
I haven't seen an A&W in 30 years. I thought they were all gone. Food was great. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Lansing.
Tried the new strawberry/watermelon freeze,and I couldn't finish it so put in the freezer for next day and I ended up spooning it up like a bowl of ice cream it was very good! So folks if you haven't tried it yet, go for it!
Been a few years since I was at an A&W.
Was just like I remember.
Food was amazing.
Service was great.
All for a lower than expected price.
Will be going again and again.
The fries and onion rings were so soggy didn't even eat them. Chili was dry and old. What a joke! Usually love A and W but after this, I won't be back for a while...Do Better!!!!
I was very excited about ordering an olive burger and what I received was very disappointing this is a local favorite so I was so much looking forward to it so I received a single olive burger the bread itself was at least almost an inch thick on each side and then the meat was less than a quarter inch didn't have much flavor I removed one piece of the bread and ate it that way. These used to be the best!! I will never order again.
Idk what happened but my root beer float tasted like straight water I had everyone in the car try it and they even agreed. I've never had something like that happen before
