Used to come here all the time with our two young boys. So it has been a while.
We wanted to make some root beer floats at home. The best possible rootbeer is the stuff that you get at the restaurant, and NOT in stores. It is made fresh, has great vanilla flavors, and is not overly carbonated.
The friendly and helpful server explained that I could get it either in a plastic container or glass container. The glass costs more, but it can refilled for less costs, AND it looks way more cool than the plastic jug.
A side note. The place was busy, and things seemed a little chaotic, but everyone was friendly and doing their best to make every happy.
Great bacon double cheese burgers, fries, onion rings and I loved the rootbeer floats!
So much I didn't know about A and W restaurant. They have breakfasts now which are wonderful. Big 3 egg omelets are very impressive & tasty. A little cheese garnish on top would make it look much better. But the taste was fantastic
Burgers were great. Best onion rings and cheese curds. And can't forget the frosty mugs of my favorite root beer. Service was outstanding. Very friendly and fast. Atmosphere very clean and comfortable. Will be going back.
Was very happy to see one still open around Milwaukee. First thing is the root beer is amazing ! Every time I drive past I’m tempted on stopping for one. The chili dogs are always a hitter and the fry’s taste amazing and real. Food is also always hot !
Now I've been here at night and the experience was great but during the day it's awful. The women manager that's here during the day always has an attitude and when I asked her for an extra sauce she looked annoyed I ruined her talking. The servers too kind of have an attitude as well if your not a regular. This place is starting to go downhill. Ill stick to nights since I haven't seen them on at night or go to the one in racine.
Hadn't been here in a long time. Service was super fast & so was lunch. It was very good, all fresh. Cheese curds are always yummy!! And can't beat the price. Super friendly waitress, I won't wait so long to come back next time.
It was a trip down, 'Memory Lane' for me & a fun stop for my daughter's little family...all that was missing was the Car Hops!
The 3yr old had a meltdown and everyone was kind enough to just ignore her while we took her to the car...THEN my daughter had one of her own when she left her (very small)
wallet and it had to be located (found on the floor).
The patience of these people was STELLAR...THANK YOU!
