Love A&W and it’s always a treat to get to go to one as there is not one where I currently live. I was super excited to see we were passing one on our trip so of course we had to stop. It was very dark when we pulled in and with us not being familiar with the area and this location we accidentally pulled up to the drive thru window before stopping at the speaker as they are not right next to each other and we missed it by accident. The girl who was working who spotted us became super annoyed and stomped her feet and rolled her eyes when she looked at us. I felt super uncomfortable right away and she stomped her foot again when walking to the window. When she opened it I apologized right away and explained to her we didn’t know where to go. She explained that we were supposed to go to the speaker but we could order at the window too. So I ordered and waited for the food. Once it was done, she handed it to us but didn’t say a single word and shut the door on us. I felt super uncomfortable as she did not hide her annoyance with us and even after apologizing to her several times she was still very cold. I didn’t get a name but she had long brown hair in braids and glasses. Definitely will be staying clear of this place going forward.
*Edited: I would just like to say I really appreciate the manager’s fast response and professionalism. Am willing to give it another go. Thank you!
Fast friendly and cook food correctly delicious fast food, parking lot is clean, safe area...
Always a great stop.. 1.49 Tues chili dogs and 3.79 footlongs on Thurs.. makes it easy to splurge on the necessary Chilli cheese fries..
Food was great service was really good loved the drive in feel of the whole thing
Food was okay, but a bit pricier than I expected. Service was good.
Hate to say it but this location sucks , cold fries & barely any ice cream in A large rootbeer float. The Lincoln park location a few miles away is always a nice treat when you go. Thought id try this location cause its closer. Never again. This is not a hard job, how could you suck at it?
Things sure have changed for the better at this A&W. The family parked in over the weekend and we were promptly greeted over the speaker for our order and ordering went smoothly. Food was out quickly and it was fresh. The server was kind and handed us our glasses and made sure we had everything. Payment was updated with mobile credit card machines. Long gone are the metal change holsters! Lastly, I'm glad some friendly service replaced the grumpy old service.
Drive thru service was fantastic. Very fast and friendly. I did have to correct the lady at the window as she read off the total for the car behind me, and just had to quickly verify my order, but she was so kind and made the correction with no issue at all. I was in and out in just about 2 minutes, counting the time for the cars ahead of me. I believe they just had a remodel, and their business is looking very clean and uncluttered.
