Crazy prices, long wait. Not worth it. $23 for a 5 piece chicken strip combo with upgraded large fries. The large fries were super small- I asked to confirm it was a large portion. Won't make the mistake of eating here again.
Pay attention to the overall rating; it's that low for a reason. I get that this is a small town and so maybe the attitude is "If you don't like it go elsewhere." Maybe; not sure. And my review is from a single visit, but I worked fast food for several years in my youth so that is my context.
I ordered a #6 combo. The burger had clearly been made a while ago; it was not freshly made. Or, if it was, it was poorly made and tasted as if it had been sitting. I went to get my A&W Root Beer -- and it was spewing soda; it needed to be changed out. Ok, that happens. I went to get ketchup for my fries -- there wasn't any so I had to ask them to fill it. When she filled it, she didn't tell me, she just lifted the now-filled ketchup bin, looked at me and raised her eyebrows. After the gal changed the root beer tank no one came to tell me it was ready. I sat there and watched them for a little while but nothing. So, I went and asked if it was ready and she said it was. If I had treated my customers anything like this, Mr. Mudge would have fired me on the spot.
They had a sign saying "We are extremely short staffed today! Your patience is very much appreciated!!" There were no other front orders happening when I was there (I didn't know how many might have been in the drive-up). Still, I was patient but none of this behavior is excused by being "short handed".
Not even sure how this place stays open. Half the time they are closed. No drive though. And absolutely absurd prices! 20$ for a not that good 5 piece tender. Not sure why I’ve stopped by the last few times and now I’m just definitely not coming back.
Very nice people and very fast service. Place is under new management and so far great place along with the gas station
Never disappointed. Always fresh and hot food. I have never had a bad meal here. I highly recommend trying if you are coming through the area with an appetite.
Other than cost which is a Biden thing.. we got.our food after waiting for 20 min to even be acknowledged. Food was fine, probably will pack a lunch next time to.save time.
I stop in here on a regular basis when I travel thru, typically Bc I love A&W strawberry shakes... I don't typically order burgers Bc as a truck driver, they just aren't conducive to a healthy lifestyle... but on occasion!
I've never ordered anything BUT a double bacon cheeseburger, I eat half and save the other half for later.
She rings me up, I dine in... get to my burger and it's a single patty- bacon cheeseburger... I'm so convinced that I ordered a double I check my receipt... this where I failed!
I took it to the counter, showed the receipt to the young man, he said he was sorry and went back to make me a new one and told me to keep the previous one... he brings it out and then here comes the older lady with the long blondish/gray hair...
Do you have your receipt??? I tell her it's still on the counter... she gets it, brings it back to me, stamps it down on the table and says...
"You SAID a #5!!! That's the deluxe burger!!"
No ma'am (in fact I never even said a # or even looked at that direction on the menu... quite literally I had to crane my neck to see what a #5 was) although it did indeed say DLX on the receipt... I seriously thought that was a double, as I didn't realize they even had a deluxe!
Beyond that she never gave me a chance to say anything further or even apologize for my misreading!
Neither myself nor the other employee caught this upon our initial inspection of the receipt!
Before I can answer or even look at the receipt myself, she taps my burger on the top like she's patting a dog
"But here's your double cheese burger, have a nice day"... in the most sarcastic, snide, and rudest way she possibly could... wheels around on her heal, crumples up my receipt, and throws it in the trash as she walked off!
Wow!! That's all I can say- I won't be back as long as she's there...
And just so you know- HER oh so meaningful double cheeseburger got left on her counter as I left.... I didn't realize that a simple burger could entice an individual to be so demeaning... but what do I know?! Maybe burgers mean more to ppl than I thought!
We got root beer floats in the old fashion glass mugs. Hit the spot after a day of golf at Meadow Creek and the oar three at Jug Mountain
