Nice older place with semi truck parking. Came here with my trucker boyfriend and yes they do have semi truck parking behind the McDonald’s.
This was our first time have a&w and we loved it. Food was hot and yummy. Tried the fish sandwich we both loved. I am an onion ring snob, but theirs were great, nice breadcrumb style breading.
We were helped by a nice older lady I did not catch her name but our receipt says Irene K. She was so pleasant that we even talked positively of her 20 minutes later when our food was finished and we were good and gone down the road.
I used the restrooms in the truck stop, pretty clean, no hand sanitizer but plenty of soap.
I come here on national free root beer float day said by corporate to come here not get served or even say hello to one second or nothing for like 15 minutes and then they say you have to pay two dollars cash for the free root beer float. But you have to use cash you can’t use card which I didn’t have. On the website it said you can flex for a root beer float for free. I don’t think these workers understand what’s going on here today.. need new workers here. Horrible people
Ordered a double papa burger. Got back on the road. Opened the burger. What happened to the buns? They were super thick! Waay too much bread. And then I noticed there was only one patty on the burger! What gives? First disappointment from a&w in my life.
Stopped in because we hadn't had A&W in probable 40 years....the food cold , cheese curds were good and hot. They messed up my husband's order. Instead of cooking a new burger they just slapped another piece of meat on it. Ordered a float in a frosty mug. Got it in a to cup. Then they just dumped it in a frosty mug. I guess this is what you can expect from a bunch of teens running a business. Will never come back!!!
After our order was taken, Katherine stood with her back turned upset about having to apply a discount to an order texting instead of paying attention to her register. After a line built up her and a gentleman making food hastily put everything together. I had two bacon burgers without bacon, one with no onions because of food alergies that had onions on it, and when she was told about it all she did was roll her eyes. This was extremely unprofessional
Such a let down!! I was raving about the chicken strips to my friends… this is what I received. Definitely NOT worth $8! We even waited for them. Better off going to Kwik Trip.
I went in this afternoon just for a chili dog with only onions and chili, the food was so fantastic I came back and ordered two more, cheese curds, tenders & a root beer! This is the best food ever! Great job A& W Deforest. I will continue to eat here and spread the word!
Stopped on our trip because we have not had A&W in years just to be disappointed. Waited 5 mins to order and 20 mins to get our food and find the eating area all tables were dirty. Definitely not happy with that experience
