Gave 3 stars because regardless the fact that I love a/w the last order I had did not meet the quality and expectations. For start I ordered a large root beer and onions rings which is extra in the order. Well I never received those… ordered hamburger with cheese, lettuce, tomato and all the fixings… well I did not receive that either…just a plain double burger and some shrimp without any sauce. But hey it’s always a first time. Sent a coworker to pick it up for me when try to call no answer!! But besides those facts love the place…
Last two times I’ve eaten here I’ve gotten barfy after. Cleanliness is not up to standard at the moment. It’s usually way cleaner and the food is cooked properly, not sure what’s going on, but it’s going to be awhile before I come back for a meal.
We shared the three piece chicken and two piece fish platter with a large amount of fries. The platter was 8.99 and add two small dri ks so the total was 13.00. Tried the cinnamon pups for desert they are really awful a greasy glob of dough covered with sugar.
It's not like what it use to be. Both price and portions. Pay more get less. However, I still like LJS, and A&W. Place does need a big remodel. Plus the cooking area NEEDS a major cleaning. Lots of food, and grease on the floor. Not a pretty sight.
This place is so great. Staff are welcoming, polite, accomodating, and patient (it had been 25 years since I had been to an A & W and /or a Long John Silver's. As fur the latter, wow!... Has the menu changed. Forget all the deep fried heart - plug from the 1980s...lots of grilled options...and there is still they option. The grilled salad bowl.. shrimp and Salmon.. Perfect. GF on a diet and she knows what's what. I hadnt had real A and W root beer in decades... Folks.. This is the MCcoy. So good.... So cold... Had the Papa Burger... These people care really take pride in what they're doing. Hey Carol! You folks did an awesome job. RING THE BELL on the way out... Literally. Enjoy
It is really just a Long John Silvers that serves root beer floats. Everything tasted like it was all mixed in the same batter.
Cool place needs a little cleaning. Other than that great service! Everyone got cheeseburgers and fries. Cool A&W mug $5.00
Loved it! Very friendly! Fish & Chips, Planks, Shrimp done perfectly! Top it off with the famous A&W Root Beer Float! Sauced it up. I'm an over-saucer....
