My favorite burger place. The double papa burger is the best. I was eating at the Winston a&w, but they're gone now. I drove all the way to Florence for this lunch, and yes, it was worth it. I wish they would come back to Medford. The prices are really reasonable for what you get. It's alot.

Home made rootbeer made the root beer float the best I've ever had. Can't remember what I had but we talked about how good the food was on our way out.
I love this nostalgic restaurant. A & W root beer is my favorite. We got floats which are the best. The ice cream is very creamy and topping it off with root beer is a fantastic treat. I enjoy the car hop drive up, it brings me back to my childhood every time.

Dining inside the counter service was quick , friendly and polite. After placing our order finding a clean table proved difficult used a napkin to wipe a table down.
There was 4 cars in drive in and 2 other tables seated inside. As tables were cleared by staff they failed to wipe them down.
The most disturbing part of this experience is watching the employee "wash" their hands, upon handling cash, returning from the restroom or clearing dirty tables a quick dip of at least 4 different employees in the rag sanitizing water bucket and dried with a paper towel seemed standard practice.
Service was a bit slow. Food was good. Will visit again when in town.
Fresh & good A&W food in the drive-in tradition, plus they have a sit down restaurant inside, but WHO CARES when you can relax, order & eat from the comfort of the ride that brought you there. Not the fastest, but that's because they make things fresh, not just grab something made (hopefully) that morning from under a warmer. And that hybrid shake/float A&W root beer creation is amazing! Other than the signature root beer they have the normal various burger, chicken & fish offerings. If that's your thing this is a great option.
Yes the food was edible, but it was not good at all. The meat was stale and very dry along with the bun. The dessert itself was actually not great at all, and the root beer float that was ordered had no carbonation at all. The fries themselves were pretty good, but they definitely were cold and seem like they had been sitting out for a while. Two people for $25 no thank you, head down to a gas station and get the same food for $10.
The food was quick though, and the service was average.

Great classic 80s feel place. Unfortunately it really does still feel a bit stuck in the 80s. Probably no remodels since.
Small dining area. Has a bunch of outdoor places to park and eat in your car.
Service was great. Food was good - a tad pricey though. Get a freeze for a new spin on a root beer float.
