This is our first time here. It wasn't busy. We were greeted right away. I was with some of my family. My father is a navy veteran and was thanked by the manager for his service. They then had a conversation. The employees were super friendly. Made us feel like friends stopping in. The atmosphere was great. Very clean and lots of personal details. Food was average price and very good. Chicken and burgers tasted great. This may have to be a frequent stop on our way to Minneapolis.
I stopped at the Moutain Lake MN A and W on my drive for a quick bite to eat, and I am amazed on how amazing everything at this location was!!! Most importantly, the order taker Cristy was so professional and kind; you hardly ever see teenagers actually care about working in a fast food restaurant, but Cristy was amazing. Right when I walked through the door I was greeted and she came up right away to help me. It is great to see the order taker care about the appearance of the restaurant, as they are the first impressions people get. Also, food was fast and fresh, and the place was very clean, even in the bathrooms. I rate this restaurant 100 out of 10! Cristy and the staff deserve all the recognition.
We happened to wheel by, seen your signage. We love A&W! Too many of them are dying! Which is sad for us. Our experience was great! Clean, prompt, and attentive! Just wanted to share another experience. The novelties that we purchased was great for us. You see, we purchased this vintage Chrysler boat. Our lake friends "Dubbed it as the A&W boat". So we went on-line and purchased licensed decals for the boat. Today at your location, we were able to purchase a mascot and a captains hat for the craft. How exciting for us! Very nice place, I come from down south so not many A&W's, usually had Coke floats lol, very friendly staff, very good food and a wonderful atmosphere, had a wonderful time, thank you.... XO ????
I base these reviews on expectations and based on what I expect from a fast food joint, this place blew all expectations away.
Service was top notch and food came out super fast. This place is kind of in the middle of nowhere but seems to stay busy. Restaurant and tables were all clean. Cashier was very friendly. They even had a guy who was dressed in the classic style of what you’d expect to see at a 1950’s car hop. Awesome!
Food was hot and fresh, not to mention delicious and came out to $13 a person! Very reasonable!
The cherry on top was the FRESH root beer which was amazing and only made better with a frozen mug so cold it froze the top of the beverage. Wow!
We pass by here on the way to the cities and this will definitely be on our must stop list going forward. This is a great find! I’ve been to other A&W restaurants but this one is obviously run with love and passion! I absolutely love finding places like this!
Kathy was so nice and helpful. I walked out with a smile a T-shirt and a great tasting burger wish I would have gotten 2 of the number 3 burger ????. Thank you for the great experience.
Fairly new A&W location with very friendly staff and great atmosphere and clean store. Prices are what you would expect for a fast-ish food. The portions were on par. The ice mug was a great touch. It's in a great location off the highway but the nearby Casey's lot does not connect to the A&W so you have to go in the right driveway.
I'm not to impressed by many fast food chains but this one was the standard by which others should follow, staff very courteous and professional. Food was delicious and not quickly thrown together like many other places even though it was lunch hour rush, care and detail was taken into making not only our order but others as I looked around and observed. Very filling had to take most of it to go for on the road snack later. Keep up the good work.
