Food was just okay. Service was okay. Root beer floats were tasty, but we asked for a refill on the soda in our floats and they wanted to charge us extra! For a soda refill??? We said nah, and probably wouldn't go back again.
To insure you have best possible experience read reviews look at the reviewers and if they only have 1-2 review then go down your self not always a bad experience! Patience This is the most original they have sit inside and call phone (press the button wait for answer) the food was good the people working were awesome and polite tons of parking
Place was emptied when I showed up but after 30 mins from placing my order and seeing people get their order before mine I just left. Had the whole family with me and even drove hours away just to experience A&W. Left with a horrible taste in my mouth and never again. 4 drinks and 2 side snacks, how was that so hard? This kind of service is not worthy my money.
Had to stop and grab a root beer float. Didn't eat / try the food but will have to next time because the burgers looked yummy. I liked the old tyme car hop feel of pulling up and ordering. Price was a bit steep for a medium rootbeer float. I've had better at other restaurants for cheaper but had to try for nostalgia purposes to see if there was a taste difference. Will try the burgers next time and see how that rates. I wouldn't go out of my way for another float but sometimes you just gotta give things a try.

This is a classic Icon from my youth. Our A&W closed in my hometown in Kansas but we stop at this one in Aztec when we travel. The food is still tasty and the root beer has not changed a bit.
What fun it was to find this A&W Root Beer Stand. It's been years...There is a new twist on ordering. At this location one can eat inside. There are menus and when you are ready, there is a in- house phone. The food is delivered to your table, but not by a carhop on roller skates. Carside service is also available.
We had two chicken sandwiches with onion rings and two small rootbeer floats. The small size was very generous. The food was great and the the floats tasted just like they did back when.
This A&W is just like the original restaurants. It even had phones at each table to make your order. Very good service.
When ordering our food in side. The girl taking the order had salty attitude. When our order came out it was all messed up. The waitress came out again order still messed. Talked to manager he didn't say any thing just shook his head and walked away. Date of service 11/8/24 645 pm .
