Dr. Carter was incredibly patient and understanding with my son, Benjamin. He took the time to listen and made us feel at ease, which really stood out. I also appreciated how open-minded and helpful he was throughout the visit. The staff was equally kind and patient, going above and beyond to make sure my son felt comfortable. It was a great experience, and I’m grateful for their care!
Dr Kent is such an amazing doctor. We had just moved to Texas. And we were seen right away with him. My son is autistic and he needed his medication with a referral for ABA services. He got that done so quick for us. He was very nice and actually concerned for the health and well being of my kids. I highly recommend him! Awesome!
I have used this office for over 3 years now after moving to San Antonio. Getting an appointment was always easy and they were accommodating (hence the 2 stars).
I will however be finding another provider after my last visit. I was indeed 11 minutes after my daughter’s scheduled appointment time. I understand that. The 3-4 ladies in the front were however all blank faced and rude with zero social skills upon telling me that I was one minute over the 10 minute grace period time. I would have appreciated a little friendlier experience after I had left work early and got caught in construction by Stone Oak Parkway. They were dead faced zombies with zero empathy as they turned us away. I wasn’t all that impressed with the doctors or the office in general anyway, but for sure I will not be returning. I see where some other reviewers experienced the same thing. The front office staff definitely needs some refresher people skills training.
My child has been a patient at A through Z Pediatrics for two years, and yesterday we had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Carter. He is an excellent doctor who works efficiently and listens attentively to his patients. We really appreciate his care.
So happy that we found this pediatrician. Ms. Portis is so attentive to our little girl. She always thoroughly examines her at each visit. She responds very quickly with any concerns or questions we may have.Office staff is so friendly.
Been coming here for 7 years and all 5 of my kids! I loveeeeeeeee the staff and every single one of the nurse practitioners, doctors, and MAs are so friendly and knowledgeable!!! I love them so much I followed the stone oak location to the new Evan’s location.
I am leaving this review as more of a PSA, following a negative experience with this practice- specifically the front desk gal who answers the phones. We have been attempting to make our newborns first pediatrician appointment while in the hospital after his arrival. Upon calling, the woman insisted that in order for us to make an appointment we would need a call reference number for “proof” that we have added our newborn to our health insurance. After much research and talking with the hospital, we confirmed that this is not true. You and your newborn get a 30 day grace period, which means you do not need any sort of proof in order to get them an appointment. The woman answering the phones was very rude and unpleasant and we ended up successfully making an appointment at ABCD Pediatrics, where there was no pushback. We are happy it worked out that way, as the care we have received from ABCD is wonderful.
I am leaving this review in hopes it helps other new parents as this time can feel overwhelming as it is- this is the last thing we need. If you call this practice and receive pushback on making your baby’s first appointment, please go elsewhere and know that your baby does not need a “call reference number” as proof that they have been added to your insurance. You and baby get a 30 grace period, and this office is unwilling to accommodate that. I highly recommend ABCD Pediatrics, if you have a similar experience!
The doctors here are so caring ,and actually listen to children of there feeling. And help feel at ease. The office workers are wonderful. We’re so happy to have A-Z take care of our family???? ????
