**A Hidden Gem in the Suburbs**
I’ve had the pleasure of dining here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I’ve also ordered cakes from their bakery. Almost everything I’ve tried has been delicious. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and designed.
The family platter offers a variety of kebabs, and while the portions aren’t as large as what you’d find in an middle eastern restaurant, it’s perfect for a group of 3-4 people.
Their weekend breakfast buffet is a must-try, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We ordered a fresh large orange juice for my child, which we were initially told was included. However, at the counter, we were charged $7 for it. When I mentioned what we were told, the cashier was understanding and made it free for us. It was handled with great professionalism.
The prices are a bit above average, but the quality of the food makes it worth it.
I HIGHLY recommend this place and will definitely be returning.
We stopped in on a whim and I'm so glad we did! Everything was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. The lamb chops were my personal favorite—tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Adana Kebab, which was perfectly spiced and cooked to perfection. Every component of our meal, from the flavorful dips to the perfectly cooked rice, was spot on. We ended our meal with the most divine baklava, a sweet and satisfying finish. The authenticity and quality of the food here are outstanding. We will definitely be back. Five stars!
I really liked the food everything was top notch but my favorites were their kunafe pistachio chocolate and lamb kababs. They have a wide range of dessert options . Couldn’t try their coffee but everything looked delicious at the cafe section. We had to drive an hour to go here but it was definitely worth it. Would probably love to go again and try more options from their menu
This fine dining is probably the finest dining I have ever experienced in my life. The restaurant's standards are through the roof. The staff was very professional and the food was just amazing! On top of all this, there conveniently happens to be a bakery/cafe on the other side of the restaurant. It's an all-in-one experience. I would highly recommend this place to everyone I know.
One of the most beautiful and luxurious restaurants I have visited.
The atmosphere really makes you feel like you are in Turkey. The food is delicious and there is no fault..I love the tea they make so much..
I visited 3 times in a month. Thank you for everything.
Fabulous service and great atmosphere. Went there for dinner with friends. We got the family tales grill, lentil soup and a couple of other items. Food was pretty good. Kabobs were a touch overcooked imo. Tres leches cake and pudding was delicious, however, the pistachio and chocolate cakes were just OK. Overall, good experience and will be going back at some point.
The bakery at The Thousand Tales offers a delightful experience. The coffee is of excellent quality, and the staff are efficient and attentive, readily assisting with any indecision over their tempting selection of pastries and cakes. We chose the pistachio baklava and a small cake. The baklava was exceptional, perfectly capturing its authentic flavor. However, the cake, while decent, didn’t stand out as particularly remarkable. That said, we’d happily return to explore their other offerings and try new flavors.

I had a breakfast that made me feel like I was in Turkey after a long time. The staff were very friendly, and I especially want to thank Mr. Yahya for his kindness and hospitality. If you ever visit this Turkish restaurant in Chicago, I highly recommend trying their breakfast!
