Love, love, love this one! The food was so GREAT! The atmosphere was soft, gentle, and romantic. We always felt like honoured guests here. All the wait staff worked as a team to help each table which is rare and makes for the best dining experience ever!!! Food was yummy, but the team that works here made this a home run!
This is the best meal I have had in years and years. I have to eat gluten-free and this restaurant is entirely gluten-free. Normally being gluten-free means a slight sacrifice is taste and texture, but not at this restaurant! The quality of food BLEW me away. The calamari and baguette were delicious. You cannot tell at all that the baguette gluten free! I had the mushroom risotto for an entree and my husband had the lobster Mac and cheese. Both were divine. We also split the kale and apple salad and the apricot and orange cake. Honestly everything was amazing and we raved as we ate. The mocktails are excellent, too. I highly recommend this place! My husband has no dietary restrictions and he normally can tell the difference, but he could not tell here. We both left happy and full. Our service was wonderful, prompt, and friendly as well. This was my birthday dinner, and I could not be happier!
If you have food allergies, this place is really special. We had a soy allergy person in our party and there was hardly any fuss. They have allergy menus and matrixes, it’s great. They even friend their stuff in canola oil. I had the crab cakes and asked for a sub of fries because I’m a garbage person. It was really nice. Great cider too!
I'm so happy to have found this place! The dedicated gluten-free kitchen made me feel comfortable ordering just about anything, and there were plenty of choices for my vegan friends as well. The cider selection is really impressive, and I wish I could have tried so much more of the food menu than I could eat in one visit! Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back!
I made dinner reservations for my staff at A Stir after a conference in Seattle, though I was unable to attend myself—and I must say, I’m so bummed I missed it! The following Monday, I was greeted in the office by my entire team raving about how amazing the food and service was.
Every dish was packed with flavor and crafted with quality. With team members who are gluten-free, it was crucial to find a restaurant that offered more than just a basic salad. A Stir exceeded expectations with a full menu of creative, nutritious dishes and an extensive selection of wine, cider, and gluten-free beer.
On the morning of our reservation, I received a thoughtful email from the executive chef, Ton, with personalized recommendations. This added such a nice touch and made the experience even smoother for my team. Our reservation was at 6:15, and when my team arrived, dishes were freshly served, hot, and ready—a perfect way to unwind after a long few days at the conference.
Dining at A Stir was the ideal way to close out their weekend, and I can’t wait to visit on my next trip to Seattle to experience it myself.

Holy moly this place is incredible. My daughter is celiac and it was such a gift to be at an exclusively gluten free restaurant that was not only gluten free but also delicious! Every dish was so well curated and thought out. Flavours were amazing, and their sommelier was so knowledgeable and helpful. If you are celiac and in Seattle, or if you’re not celiac and just want a delicious dining experience, make sure you stop at a/stir for a meal you won’t forget!

We were in town for a national speech and hearing conference, and with 3 out of 10 team members being gluten-free, we carefully researched restaurants that could accommodate dietary needs. A Stir stood out, and it did not disappoint!
Ton personally communicated with my administrative team via email before our visit. He mentioned they would be hosting three large groups that evening and thoughtfully recommended that we order ahead of time to ensure a smooth experience. This level of preparation was evident from the moment we arrived—our table was beautifully set, appetizers were ready, and the service was impeccable.
We were blown away by the presentation, flavors, and attention to detail. The gluten-free bread, often a hit-or-miss item, was absolutely delicious. Many team members remarked that they’d return to A Stir on their next trip to Seattle.
As the host, I also appreciated that the meal was not only satisfying and beautifully executed but also reasonably priced—much more affordable than I anticipated for such an exceptional dining experience.
Cute place, prices were good and the vibe is good too. Food quality + drink quality was great as well! All people working were nice and welcoming, wish the bartender was too!
