Best WLM Reviews

It’s a bit expensive from what I used to pay in the past but it still tastes good. They include a lot of chips, even if it is quite expensive and additional cost (Around $20 for fish & chips and soda). Got the cod and it was nice and flaky. The staff were really nice though!
Overall amazing fish and chips. Got the small shrimp & cod combo and with chips it was definitely enough food for 2 meals. Not a huge fan of having to pay for extra for chips ($7). Onion rings were also incredible.
The fish was decent but not exceptional. It feels overpriced at over $15 for just a large fish, especially since chips are not included. You have to pay an additional $7 for chips. I'll have to say the winner in this meal is the tartar sauce. It was absolutely delicious and made everything else taste good
I had such high hopes for this place because the fish and chips look like the ones I had in London, I was not impressed. It was not bad, but I guess my expectations were too high. The fish was not the most crispy and the batter was falling off as I was eating it. The highlight was the tartar sauce, it was great! And the people who work there were lovely. They also have fried mars bars for those who want to try it. That being said I don't think I'll be back.
My daughter and I shared the cod & chips. The portion was a decent size for the price. The fish was crispy, however both the fish and batter were heavily under-seasoned and the batter did not stay on the fish. If not for the tartar sauce and vinegar, the fish wouldn’t have had any taste. Nonetheless, the staff were lovely. Bathrooms available at the next door shop (same owner).
This is more about Tea & Sympathy next door to Asalt and Battery. Love the food if you are into British foods. Note you cannot just have tea. You must order food as well.
i found myself craving fish and chips and i was lucky i remembered how perfectly A Salt and Battery makes this traditional dish. the side of mushy peas was divine
