Otherwise I could talk about how there's much new construction going on in there, the place is really turned around in the last 18 to 24 months.
Considering I saw a real estate with my girl, I can say I have a fairly informed position.
This was our first time here using our time share points. We requested to go to Shawnee on Delaware and somehow ended up in A Pocono Country Place. We had to pay for every pool on the property, $12/person, even though it's listed and appears as an included amenity. The homeowners pay an HOA fee, and we still had to pay to use their amenities. They blew the whistle for everything at the pool (no jumping in the pool, no splashing, no pool toys, no having fun). The clubhouse with the fitness center is closed on the weekends, so I was very disappointed. The location was nice to get away from the city life. The house we stayed at was fine, except the bedroom upstairs had no curtains, and it had ceiling windows, so it was super bright in the mornings. It definitely needed a little maintenance/tidying up outside. The hot tub needed to be cleaned because the water smelled old and disgusting. Checking in at the main building was absolutely ridiculous. I didn't know where the line started or ended. It looked like a maze of people cramped in a little round building. It was almost 45 minutes with just one employee working, and then more came to help. This whole experience was misleading.
Is often crowded, not enough staff for the volume of visitors checking in for passes.
They definitely need to incorporate a better system for handling renter check ins and other standard check ins . Only one gate entrance allows visitors to check in at the gate vrs the main entrance.
Every day this place get worse. Trying to call in a guest. Not only did I get put in hold for 5 mins at a time but the person would pick up an hang up on me. Took me nearly half hr to call in a pass.. stay way from here if u want friendly service. From call attendees to security all worthless…..
The workers at the main office take entirely way to long checking guests in. They have long unneeded conversations and don't care how long the line is. It's a nightmare going in there. Wait times can be as long as 25 min
Would give zero stars if possible. Terribly managed, staff don’t know the rules or pricing. They’ll take your money and then inform you that nothing is open and then make you pay again. Worst community I’ve ever been to.
This place is one of the most accommodating in the Poconos, friendly service and professional staff. I had a great experience every time here, can’t recommend this place enough! What a view from the main lake..
