Stopped for dinner. Food was good, would recommend salmon, or hot beef. Salad was both iceberg, so my son didnt eat his. It was not bad though. Only 1 refill on drinks, which was a little of a downer but was not a big deal this time.
We ordered 5 slices of pie for two people. The food was phenomenal, our server was patient with us. We were cycling the Paul Bunyan Trail and were kind of delirious and starving for pie. A-pine delivered the goods for these two desert dwellers
The atmosphere & service are great first impressions to this restaurant. Menu has so many good items that it was hard to settle onto just one entree for our lunch here. Country fried steak w/ mashed potatoes, cole slaw and a dinner roll was delicious and an incredible value for the price. I can't wait to eat here again when visiting Pequot Lakes.
It was cute and clean, and the food tasted great! I really wanted to love it, but I was shocked at the price. The kids meals were $9 each and came with a drink and a treat, so at first, I was thinking, “That’s kind of a lot, but since all of that came with it, it’s not horrible.” The kids drink cups were 4 oz and it cost $1 to refill, my 4 children finished theirs in one drink and then were thirsty the rest of the meal. The serving sizes were pretty small, everyone cleaned their plates and asked for more food. (Normally, at restaurants, we have leftovers.) Each child was given a freezer-burned ice cream sandwich (or maybe it melted and was refrozen).
Our waitress was kind but never came back to refill my water, or offer the kiddos water.
Overall, I thought the food tasted good, but wasn’t worth almost $80 for me and 4 children to eat.
Loved this little diner right off the Paul Bunyan Trail. It was quick and clean with a small town feel. Great food. We loved the black and blue syrup, so took home a bottle, too!
Great food, great service, & love the atmosphere. Food came out quickly and the pie was delicious! I will be back again next time I’m in the area! Highly recommend checking this place out if you’re nearby
Clean and homey. Nice staff. Nice food. This is just off the hwy and is a pleasant place to stop for any meal. We came in out of the cold and found it very welcoming.
Oh my, the wild rice links!!!!! SO delicious!! I wish they were available to take home frozen.
This restaurant is adorable. Everyone is so friendly. Breakfast (eggs, wild rice sausages, hash browns, and toast) was delicious. Portions were huge! Will be back next time I’m in the area!
