Best WLM Reviews
I am a craft pizza snob, and usually like the thin crust, new York style the best. But I talked it over with the very kind waitress and decided to go outside my norm for the Chicago style. Glad I did!
So I do not like doughy pizza, I never order pan, or jets. I was hesitant to do Chicago for that reason, but turns out Chicago is actually fairly thin, but very thick with cheese and toppings. Thankfully the waitress educated me. Lots of tomatoes on top of the pie.
I'm not a bread guy, but the rolls were super good. The Chicago Pizza comes in medium size, and I could only eat 2 of the 4 huge slices. I got hamburger, pepperoni, and salami and it was delicious. Staff was great, and turned on the Olympics for me to watch.
I definitely recommend this place. I only tried the Chicago Pizza, but other items looked good also. Give it a try!
As someone from Chicago I thought why not try this deep dish as I was craving a bit of comfort food. Well the bottom is burnt and the sauce is flavorless. The man who took the order was very grumpy over the phone and when my husband stopped by to pick it up on his way home it must have been the same man as he was also grumpy in person.
Always looking for a new pizza in any neighborhood we visited, the hubs and I found A'mis, and they did not disappoint!! The place has a unique atmosphere, and appears clean throughout. We started with a delicious Caesar salad, which I assumed had a fresh house made dressing. They allowed us to share a small salad at no extra cost, and included yummy and warm dinner rolls. Next we had the margarita pizza on the thinnest crust I've ever had, and loved it! Their recipe is a little unique in that it has an olive oil base instead of crushed tomato sauce. I also loved the thinly slices tomatoes, fresh cut basil and and blend of cheeses. Hubs and I both had a cocktail and our meal came in under $40. We will definitely be back next time we're in the neighborhood!!
If I could rate above five stars for this place, I genuinely would. Our waitress was the sweetest thing on the planet. It was warm and cozy inside despite the freezing cold and rain outside. They gave us SO much food. So much more than we expected. AND IT WAS DELICIOUS! Best out of pretty much any Italian place we've ever gone to. You want spectacular service and food in a quiet place? A'mis is definitely the place to go.
The pizza is Amazing. The garlic bread was just right, sooo Delish! The Deluxe salad was more than enough for multiple people. Oh my waitor Justin was Wonderful. This is a Hidden Gem!! Most definitely will be back to try more!!
Have been coming for the lunch special, salad and a large slice of NY style cheese pizza , $7.45. Best deal in town because the food is great ! Went with full pizza today.
Brittany the waitress hustles taking care of all her customers with her sweet disposition.
This is wonderful pizza and Italian food! I noticed they had exactly 66-six reviews, so I thought I would get them to 667!
I wish one was closer to Wentzville.
I need to dock a couple stars after the most recent meal. I had their Cod Sandwich with fries and the Garlic Cheese Bread appetizer.
The latter is still 5 stars. The fish Sandwich was almost embarrassing. Just a plain very crispy, low-meat (probably frozen an
d prepackaged) rectanglular fish patty on a store-bought bun with PACKETS of tarter sauce. 2-stars just because it wasn't gross. I hope they aren't falling into disrepair (outside area is looking kind of junky).
Older posts from 1 and 2 years prior:
Just had their Eggplant Parmesan and a side of Onion Rings. I'm bumping them up star. The eggplant was nearly fork tender everywhere along the rim (only a single edge on 5 pieces had a little resistance) and the center wasn't cooked to mush (a common side effect to get the outside tender).
The onion rings were simple but just how I like them. Crispy without thick onion layers or uncooked batter on the inside.
Last time we had their Manhattan Pepperoni pizza and Cheesy Garlic Bread.
The Cheese Bread is amazing.
The Manhattan was OK but should please anyone.
They are a little on the pricy side but no worse than most Italian and Steak restaurants.
Manhattan might be best bang for the buck. Yes it's $22, but has an incredible Topping Area to Crust Circumference ratio.
