The decor is cute with cars, trucks and license plates. The ac is wonderful but the ventilation for the smoke coming from the kitchen makes your eyes and nose burn. The tables are sticky and the booth seats need desperately to be replaced instead of the pealing duct tape holing them together. The sauces are very unexciting, the kitchen staff spend majority of the time socializing vs getting the orders out. The greeting was more of a find a place to sit and we will be with you. The sweet tea was great, the wait for food is long! The baked beans were good but barely warmed the cheesy corn was good but again barely warm. The pulled pork was good again just warm, the burnt ends were good. The carpets really need a cleaning and the restrooms as well, the floors were not clean trash on floor, no hot water and no paper towels, the toilet did not flush and was not recently cleaned either. Not very impressed by this visit here. Our waitress was so very sweet and personable!
Great joint! Live music, good food, lots of antiques and collectibles to take a look at and admire. Super cool restaurant.
I gotta say this is some of the best bbq food I have ever had. The ribs were perfect, as in, fall apart, juicy deliciously fabulous ribs.
The Mac and cheese wasn’t watery or overly gooey, but tasteful, cheesy, and good.
Will say the service was great. She deserved a tip larger than I could leave.
This pace was a gem to find in Independence. We wanted to try something new and found this when we left the Truman Library. The food was great. The atmosphere is super fun and the service was fantastic. Trust me on this one....the bacon chips are worth every calorie.
My son took me here. It was hands down the best BBQ I ever had! I love all the trinkets that filled the walls! Good service too.
Awesome decor for a restaurant. I ordered burnt ends with fries and hot potato salad. Along with a side of 3 ribs. Burnt ends were good. Hot potato salad was awesome. The ribs were awesome. Service was okay. They were out of chicken wings and chicken legs at 4 pm on a Sunday. There were tables available.
The waitress was really nice and reccomend me the 4 pieces ribs. It was a huge meal and oh my goodness the robs probably one of the best ribs i ever eaten the meat fall of the bones and its a lot better than texas road house! If you are near this restaurant you need to try the Ribs! Its worth every dollar and my meal was $17! Huge portions for $17 cant beat that!!! Good food!!!
I always like to try something new for me. Upon recommendation from V, I had the brisket and "burnt ends"! I had no idea what burnt ends were but I NOW KNOW AND DELISH!!! I also had a cheesy corn and baked beans combo and hot potato salad sides which were new for me as well. Also DELISH!!
